Right outside of Nashville is a great place that serves delicious gluten-free pizza Open Original Shared Link

Support group for the area: Open Original Shared Link - they should have resources for you if you contact them.

All the restaurants at the Opryland Hotel can feed you quite wonderfully, too.

You can also find chains like Maggiano's and PF Changs, and a Whole Foods grocery store.

Enjoy!

They do the gluten-free diet wonderfully there, so it was probably just a person who didn't know much about Celiac. I ate gluten free at the reception (prepared specifically for me), one dinner at a restaurant in the hotel, and the brunch (which I definitely recommend!) The staff couldn't have been more helpful in finding safe food for me to eat, and even made my dinner/dessert to order in the restaurant. You'll enjoy it....a beautiful place for a wedding, and the gluten free dining makes it even more enjoyable. The Opryland is a one of a kind place! You'll have to let us know how it goes!

Matteos is about 25 minutes from Opryland. It is is Franklin. There is also a Garlic Jims in Franklin and they have wonderful gluten free pizza but that might be a trip for ya'll. Green hills is an area that is closer to opryland (10-15 minutes), they have carraba's, pei wei, zoe's kitchen, trader joes, and that is where the whole foods is located. I hope you enjoy the opryland hotel it is wonderful. Im from the area if you have any more questions, I am a member of the nashville support group also so just let me know if you need anything!

Thank you both for your great ideas about where to eat/shop while in Nashville. We are looking forward to our trip. It's only been just a year since we found out about my daughters celiac disease, and so traveling still worries me a little bit! So, thanks for the information!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
