Hey fellow Canadians:

I live in Toronto, Ontario and need to travel to Winkler Manitoba in the next couple of days for my step-father's funeral.

Does anyone from Winkler know of a safe place to eat? I've got a motel room with a kitchenette so I can buy and prepare some foods also (but a safe restaurant would be ideal).

Hi!

I checked the Manitoba Celiac site and didn't see anything in Winkler, but I wanted to let you know that they have a gluten-free store in Winnipeg called Lorenzo's. When I was there they had ready made meals and really cool products I have never seen before. They are located on St. Mary's Road in St. Vital. I'm sorry to hear about your lose. Safe travels.

      If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly...

      No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

      Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done...

      Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
