Italian Chestnut Flour?

Yesterday, I bought a gluten free cake mix that contains Italian Chestnut Flour. The store also had bags of this flour available. It's kinda pricey, so I didn't buy the bag of the flour, but the cake mix looked very interesting. It's by Dowd and Rogers. Has anyone heard of or used this brand or this flour? I'm very curious about it!

Yes, and I've heard it is amazing. The only downside, from what I understand, is that it doesn't keep long, so you'd have to use it up quick. But I'd love to try it sometime.

This is my very favorite cake mix! The chestnut flour adds a unique and very tasty flavor...much different than the standard rice flour mix. They last as long as any other cake mix I have had but I keep them in the fridge between feedings and let them come to room temp before devouring. The chocolate mix, coupled with vanilla buttercream frosting, are heavenly. I have even brought these to work for the gluten eaters and got very favorable remarks back.
