What animal's GI tract would you like to have?

I was thinking with all the modern medical marvels in transplant technolgy that I could ask my doctor for a GI tract transplant. I am thinking I would like to go for a sperm whale GI tract transplant. Sperm whales can eat fish and giant squids and other things that they find in ocean. Heck, they can can even eat wooden sailing ships and their grouchy captains sometimes. Shoot, with a sperm whale GI tract and mouth, I could prolly eat a good size elliephant.

What animal's GI tract would you like to have transplanted and why? We are taking orders live now. Call today! :D

kareng Grand Master

I wish I could have the GI tract of my mixed terrier that we had as a kid. He could & often did eat anything! He never got sick or slowed down.

OMG   I LOVE your answer- a sperm whale! I think I would want the digestive system of a pig (heck-I already use one's thyroid hormones :o ) but uhm, bacon eating would make me a cannibal. I love bacon

Maybe a dog but I still love the sperm whale!!!!!

Ahh yes Kareng, a terrier tummie it is for the little miss. Don't be dismayed young lady, with your new terrier tummie you will be able to eat doggie treats, table scraps, and left overs at will. Rowf rowf! :)

And for MtnDog we go for the oinker special! An all-around favorite, the oinker special can consume well nigh anything you can throw or toss it's way. Corn, chips, leftover garbage from the restaraunt trade, no problem here. Shovel it your way and down it will go! By the way, we have plenty of sperm whale GI tracts to go around if you change your mind and want to upgrade later. Sell sell sell, that's our motto.

I think I'd like an alligator's digestive tract. They eat ANYTHING and when they do animal necropsies they find all sorts of amazing stuff in there. I bet gluten wouldn't bother an alligator..... I'm sure a crocodile would do just as well, if there's a price difference!

So Bunnie's going for the alligator tummie eh? That's a good one I reckon. One reptile digestive system to the rescue. Looks like you could get an extra digestive bennie too, gastroliths. Seems alligators often have them.

Gastrolith

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Plesiosaur gastroliths from the Tropic Shale.

A gastrolith, also called a stomach stone or gizzard stones, is a rock held inside a gastrointestinal tract. Gastroliths are retained in the muscular gizzard and used to grind food in animals lacking suitable grinding teeth.

I think the crocs are going to be on special soon. They are more plentiful than alligators so ought to be going down in price.

I think I would pick a goat their not picky at all. However, upon observation, I want to be a nannie not a billie. I witnessed the billie goat peeing in his own mouth! :o

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️

Yeah, that sounds super familiar. When inflammation levels are high — especially at the start of changing your diet — the body often develops a fructose and lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you
