Kamchatka Vodka

I got glutened, and the timing is related to Kamchatka vodka. Unflavored. I'm not sure what grain it is made from, but it's distilled, so that's typically okay.

I had it with Diet Dr. Pepper - poured a little vodka into the can - and I drink Diet DP all the time.

Has anyone reacted to this vodka? Or are there very sensitive people here who drink it with no reaction? I'm stumped as to what got me if it wasn't the vodka.

I've read something in the past of people reacting to vodka but I haven't...yet. I am not familiar with the name brand you mentioned. Perhaps you had some cc in sine way? Was it served by someone? Perhaps they had sinething on their hand and them you touched it? That pretty sensitive but only suggesting other avenues than the vodka.

I looks to be a grain vodka, and a cheap one. I had a weird reaction to Redbreast Irish whisky, and Scotch doesn't bother me. I wonder if some distilled things are more gluten-free than others?

I am one of the celiacs who do react to distilled gluten grains. I stick to the potato vodkas, clear good rum like Bacardi White or tequila if I want hard liquor, which isn't often.

Can you or anyone suggest a good potato vodka? (I don't like rum or tequila.) Thanks!

I get Luksusova. I recently heard of one called Glacier Idaho that is made in the US but I haven't looked for it yet.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
