Hey guys, I ate starkist tuna for the first time since going gluten-free. It had water and tuna listed. I feel like crap! cramps, bad side pain, fuzzy head. I had it with and mustard. I assumed the tuna was safe?? I'm thinking I CC myself a little own my own. I'm looking to make my home gluten-free.I hurt with everthing whether mild to severe. It's getting me down and staring at my kitchen wondering what to eat.

Did you check the mustard? Most mustards are okay, but some have gluten. As far as the tuna goes I cannot eat most packaged tuna because even the ones packed in water have soy in them. I have to buy the premium stuff to find one that does not have soy in it. If you are sure the tuna got you you might consider whether you have an intolerance to soy as well.

I eat the Starkist in the gold can all the time. It is gluten free. I react to soy oil and all the others have soy in them. Has the mustard or if you used it mayo been used by gluten eaters? If so then double dipping may have CC'd you.

I have my own mustard, it's French's. I didn't use mayo because it has potato starch in it. I think I CC myself. I didn't clean the kitchen after gluten eaters before I fixed lunch...my fault. Thought I was being careful. I'm kinda mad at myself, I know better. I'm going to make my kids go gluten-free. I believe my son has celiac, he hurts after eating. He was vomitting last week afer eating waffle house fri.then saturday a glutenful breakfast and burgers. Sunday morning he was so sick! He wants to put off the test, but I'm putting my foot down. It will be done this week. I've been doing so well for the last month, I hate this glutening at my own hands. I've been using gloves to clean etc and it's getting old being so paranoid in my own kitchen. Thinking that in my home I eat on shared lines!I felt the tuna was safe, thanks guys. I like to get others opinions.

i used to always feel BLOATED and gross after canned tuna in water, or canned tuna in vegtable broth (SOY always)...

canned tuna in olive oil seemed to be ok for me.

but ive now switched to canned salmon for sustainability & mercury reasons. at first it was hard, because it was more fishy. i actually did buy tuna recently cause i missed it.. and i guess ive gotten used to the salmon, cause i thought the tuna tasted fishier.

but ya- packed in olive oil worked better for me

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
