I found Bard's at Total Wine.

I can find the blue/black stuff that is simply labeled "Bard's Tale," but I've never seen the Dragon's Gold outside of pictures online..

I saw it at Whole Paycheck but it was labeled just Bard's, not Bard's Tale.

I just bought a 6 pack of Bard's from BevMo. haven't tried it yet. I like Redbridge, but they didn't have it this time.

I'm desperate to find gluten-free beer that actually has some character to it. These rice/corn beers are so weak they taste like water. hops are NOT a problem, so I don't understand why the gluten-free beers are so light on hops and taste. What I'd give for a gluten-free IPA!

If you can find Greens. They have three different types so maybe one would be to your liking. However, they are expensive ($5-$6 a bottle).

I tried them and seem to remember one being a heavier beer. Don't drink them frequently due to the cost.

We shortened the name some time ago from Bard's Tale Dragon's Gold to Bard's Gold for several reasons. Same great beer in new packaging and shorter name.

The reason they are so weak is that the sorghum that replaces barley is not malted. Some are only 3.3% ABV. Only Bard's malts the sorghum for traditional beer flavor and aroma. Remember, malting is a process used in making beer. Malted sorghum is still gluten-free. Bard's is 4.6% ABV.

Ive starting brewing my own and thats another way to do it, its not very hard and it fun too.

Also, I have EZ gluten tested as few regular beers, Corona is less than 10 ppm gluten, budweiser is really high as is Karl Strauss Red trolley. The EZ gluten tests are supposed to pickup wheat, barley or rye down to 10 ppm.
