Could This Be Gluten?

All of my life I have always had an upset stomach after eating. I have always had to burp really loud after meals in an attempt to make my stomach feel better. I have also always had weird bowel habits, cramping when I have to go, alternating C&D.

Recently I did the HCG diet and cut out everything, except saltines, that contained gluten. When I moved into the phase where you follow an atkins stlye diet I held my weight loss from the previous phase and actually dropped a few more lbs. When I moved into the phase where you introduce sugar and starch all of my problems started. The first day I could eat starches I had a donut for breakfast withing 2 hrs I had the worst headache ever and my stomach was grumbling and eventually I had to run to the bathroom. I kept having to run to the bathroom the rest of the day and my stomach was sooo bloated it hurt and felt like I was sticking it out and coulcn't suck it in to save my life. The next day I weighed 3lbs more than I did the day before. I had learned from HCG message boards that if there is a sudden spike in weight after adding something you probably have a sensitivity to it. I continued to watch myself for the rest of the week and every time I ate something with gluten in it I felt sick, tired, had a headache, was moody had the worst gas ever ,couldn't concentrate and I continued to have to run to the bathroom. I also gained 6lbs in the week i ate gluten.

Last week I went gluten-free and by the 3rd day I had no more headache I didn't have to run to the bathroom as often and I felt more alert and had more energy. I also lost the 6lbs I had gained. I re-introduced gluten on Sunday and had pizza for dinner. I got a headache within 2hrs and my stomach started to grumble. I woke up yesterday morning and I weighed 3lbs more than I did Sunday morning. I had a brownie for breakfast and I had the worst gas pains all day, I felt like I couldn't breathe and I needed to go to the bathroom but I couldn't. I made waffles for dinner, I figured if it's guten causing it and I need to eat it for the tests I might as well have my favorites, and I spent an hour on the toilet after dinner. I woke up this morning and I have the same gas pains and yesteday morning and my stomach is bloated and feels tender to the touch.

Here are my symptoms from the week I added gluten plus the last 2 days:

tired

gas/bloating/diarrhea or constipation/floating stools that are sometimes oily

headaches

weight gain

cant concentrate/moody/mood swings/anxious

Does this sound like gluten or could it be wheat? I just really want the stomach upset/pain to go away. I will be calling my doctor in the next few days but I'm sure I can't get in until after thanksgiving which is fine since there will be plenty of gluten for me to eat.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

1) Yes, this definitely does sound like gluten. 2) You can try eating wheat-free rye bread or something else containing rye/barley but not wheat to see if it is gluten or just wheat you are reacting to.

But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
