Only Good Thing About Having Celiac...

(Well, of course beyond the fact that we hopefully won't get horrifically sick from some undiagnosed illness)

It certainly stops indiscriminate eating during the holidays! I would always be " ooooh, cookies...oooh chocolate" at work because everyone brought in tons of stuff and now I can't. And even though I MISS the stuff (especially now when I am surrounded by it) it is MUCH easier to keep my resolve because I really and truly cannot have it. It isn't an issue of a few pounds...So really, that is a good thing!

(and I keep telling myself that every stinking day :) )

Hope everyone is well!!!

I was thinking the same exact thing the other day! :-) I cannot eat these goodies--LUCKY ME! I already have a start on my New Year's Resolution to get fit and trim :-)

I never ate indiscriminately due to this illness causing weird appetite issues, but yeah.

For me, the bright side might be the chance to prove all those folks who say to me (I'm 21 and 90% of my coworkers are over 40), "[insert bad thing here] is what happens when you get older" wrong (often that thing is something I'm struggling with NOW like brain fog, etc.). At least I'm increasing my chances of being able to do that. Only time will tell. :P

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
