Anyone Find A Good gluten-free Product App For Smartphone

Anyone find a good APP for their phine for product listing of gluten-free foods. I use the handbook by Univ of Illinois Celiac disease center. It's fabulous but I would rather not carry it if my iphone can do the same

Try Clan Thompson's web site: www.clanthompson.com has lists for Blackberry and other smartphones. I used to use their app for Palm PDA, and it covered a lot of brand name foods, plus restaurant chain foods. You pay a yearly subscription, and they release updates several times a year. It was very useful back when I was a celiac newbie. They also have lists for medicines.

It's not a complete listing by any means but I got the Celiaccess app on my droid and it also allows you to use a bar code scanner to check gluten free status. I hope they continue to add products but they do have a pretty good start. I also just noticed when searching for gluten free cookies that this program is great if you shop at Walmart because they seem to have all of the house brand products on it. I do wish it was more all inclusive but for a free product I do like it.

On my iPhone I use "is that GLUTEN FREE? eating out" and "is that GLUTEN FREE". I also have "GFNews" which lists a lot of current gluten-free related news.

      New issue

      I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep.This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I get the shakes...

      I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

      Do Gluten Enzymes actually work?

      If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.

      You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance"...
