Tostitos "now Even Tastier" On Bag

I just opened a new bag of Tostitos and made nachos with them, one of my fave gluten free snacks, when I noticed that they tasted wayyyyyy to salty, ICK... Double checked ingredients to make sure no gluten, but right on the front of the bag it says "now even tastier!" I don't know what planet the taste testers were from, but in my book, saltier does not make for tastier... YUCK. Why do these companies mess with a good thing?

No kidding!!?? I was munching out on those last night with my kids and we all thought they were waaaay too salty. I just checked and that's what it was! My husband prefers the saltiness.

my husband puts salt on everything and even he didn't like them... he said they were too salty.

That's so dumb! People can add their own salt if they want to--why screw it up for the non-salty people among us.

Yep, I noticed they were way too salty. Made me want to wash them down with water before eating them.

Thanks for posting this; I thought I was going crazy (lol). I was just eating Tostitos and Salsa (also Tostito brand) and I thought they were saltier but figured it was just me.

Thanks Scott. They are gluten-free but cross contaminated.

Hi there @MCAyr I have a small umbilical hernia which came about during my second pregnancy.   I can just about see it, and feel it, when I stand or sit, but it is far less noticeable when I lie down.  I always know when I am putting on weight because I can get pain and burning near the site, funnily enough not on the hernia itself but either side!  I would imagine bloating could cause the same effect as weight gain. In my case I don't think it is my bowel protruding but a bit of fat  - sorry,  I realise this isn't painting a very pretty picture.  But in truth it is scarcely noticeable.  It has never really got bigger in size. I was rather hoping that it could be operated on but here in the UK they don't seem to operate on every hernia anymore.  My GP isn't remotely worried about it. In a way, I should be thankful - it is like an early warning system that I need to go on a diet! Cristiana

The hernia description would likely be unrelated to celiac disease, but you'd need to get it checked out by your doctor to be sure it's a hernia.
