day 4 gluten free. Not easy to find things to eat but managing. I feel a whole lot better since I started. Maybe just a coincidence I don't know, too early to tell but my tummy is not bloated and I have had regular AM bowel movements each day. I usually am crampy, bloated, diarrhea or constipated with spastic colon. I am off work right now do to symptoms I couldn't manage well so I am hoping that this is my answer. I actually measured 1.5 inches smaller in my waist today than 4 days ago.

BUT, I also have to say overall I am also eating healthier and drinking lots of water. so it could just be the healthy eating and the water that is making me feel better. After about a month, I am going to add a whole grain sandwich each day to see how I feel. My celiac tests were negative and I frankly give up on doctors !! I have to do things myself to get anywhere.

Glad you are feeling better! It might be that after a month you feel so much better you couldn't care less about a whole grain sandwich! Seriously though, I would suggest that if you are going to do eat a sandwich, you plan to eat a couple of them the day before you have a couple days off from work (aka a weekend). If you truly are gluten intolerant or undiagnosed celiac you may have a strong reaction to the reintroduction of gluten.

I’m having this type of MRI this afternoon,  What specifically do you want to know?  From what I’ve read, not all facilities use the same drink prep.

Hi I've been told I need a MRI on my bowels , I was booked for a colonoscopy, but because of my sever back issues and trapped nerve it can't be done , the nurse told me I will have to have a manitol drink a hour before the scan , I'm just a bit worried has I have issues with sweeteners like even a little,  I get a weird throat and ears and I've read it is a similar substance , not sure if anyone has had one of these scans or could give me some advise on the drink prep thanks in advance 😄

Hi all ! Can a celiac attack be so intense that it causes your entire body to work in reverse? Meaning really bad pain,  neuropathy and muscle,  jaw pain,  the stomach issues , Horrible anxiety and confusion??  I had a Tums and you would think I ate poison. My jaw and stomach did not like it . Not the norm for me. Things that are simple are just out of control. Anyone ever have this happen??  I'm trying to figure out what I ate or did to bring on a celiac like attack. I had an idea before but yesterday I didn't have any gluten unless it was in a medication ?! Any positive suggestions ??  Thank you

The following two lists are very helpful for anyone who is gluten sensitive and needs to avoid gluten when shopping. It's very important to learn to read labels and understand sources of hidden gluten, and to know some general information about product labelling--for example in the USA if wheat is a possible allergen it must be declared on a product's ingredient label like this: Allergens: Wheat.
