Ok. Our house is entirely gluten free now, because I'm so sensitive. So my hubby went to Whole Foods last night for me to grocery shop, and I didn't realize that he bought the Applegate Chicken Nuggets for the kids that contain gluten. What was he thinking right? So, I pulled them out and made them for the kids for lunch today... before I realized that they were glutenous nuggets. It slipped by me, because I'm used to everything being gluten free now. Okay, so the kids were already eating them. Ugh, and I handled the nuggets...not knowing if I touched my face or anything else. My plan was to wash them up well, and hope for the best. I had my 5 yr old use a fork, and wash his hands and face immediately. Then I switched plates to give them more gluten-free food. I washed up my other son who just turned 2. I was really hoping that I dodged a bullet, but knowing that only time will tell. I pick up the baby and started to go upstairs to put him down for a nap. As I'm distracted with my other son, the baby decides to spit ALL OVER my unsuspecting face! You know... babies like to blow raspberries, and usually can't do it well...so they just end up blowing spit everywhere...yeah all over my face. After my brief moment of shock and regret, I looked at him...and he had this huge mischievious grin! He did it on purpose, and thought it was funny! Right in the middle of my reprimand...he did it again...all over my face! Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm just waiting for the storm...praying that it will spare me this time:( Of course, my baby would have to pick the ONE TIME that he accidentally had gluten to spit in my face. He also never tries to spit like that. What impeccable timing! Hope that made you laugh:) I was sure to let my husband know that he might be taking care of everyone tonight!

I hope you don't get sick.

If hubby ends up taking care of all the kids I bet he doesn't make THAT mistake again. :lol:

I hope you dodge this bullet! Babies + Gluten = Trouble! lol! My nephew has tried to shove waffles in my mouth while I was distracted with another task, threw a cookie in the middle of a gluten-free salad I bought specifically so I'd have safe food at a family dinner, and backwashed gluteny crumbs into my unsuspecting drinks. Ewww!

Ewwww! Yes, I would have had a heart attack! I did not end up being the "train wreck" that I thought I'd be last night! Whew...I did dodge a bullet! God had mercy on me, and believe me I said a prayer:)

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic.       Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce. Something is making my pain so much worse I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs. Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever...

Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
