Ataxia Source?

My balance issues are my biggest and most sensative issue. It took me 5 months continually tightening my diet and being consistant before my balance came back when I initially went off glutens. I realize it is connected to gluten consumption, and wondering how it is connected? Is there an inflamation from the wheat, or something else, that occurs to cause this?

I was able to stop my flinches and spams by putting more potassium in my diet. Any balance issues related to vitamins?

I don't know for sure what causes the ataxia. I think it is the antibodies attack on the brain. I do know that with ataxia celiacs usually have brain lesions called UBOs or unidentified bright objects, that are visible on an MRI. They are similiar to the lesions seen in MS but they are not in the same location. Since I haven't had another MRI since I was diagnosed and my ataxia resolved I don't know if the lesions go away when the ataxia does.

Scott, thank you SO MUCH for this!! She has been through so much in the last three years as we've tried to track down answers. This language will definitely help me help her to reframe.
