can anyone give me some good docs that are familiar with celiac in the columbus ohio area. i am very ill with losing alot of weight and need to find a doc that will take action. thanks.

I was just told by a friend that Dr. Marty M Meyer, with OSU Internal Medicine is excellent. He specializes in Celiac Disease. Chances are you will have to wait 6 months to get an appointment (there is a long wait for all Gastros in Columbus). Good luck!

thanks for the information on the doc from osu. i am seeing another doc right now and have gotten all the tests done. waiting on biopsy reports. i will keep him in mind if they say i am celiac forsure.

I second that on Dr. Meyer. I went to medical school with him and he is a great person (and doctor from what I've heard thru the grapevine!)

      Thoughts? Non-endoscopic Celiac diagnosis in two year old

      Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong. yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

      @GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
