Hi Ladies!!

I'm looking for a good Gluten Free Prenatal Vitamin! With extra folic acid and dha would be great! Liquid would be great too!! But of course it must be 0 gluten!! Last post I found was from 2007!! A bit old in my opinion.

So what do you take? Thanks in advance!!

Yeah, I noticed that post was kinda old too..

Have you asked your Dr.? What did he recommend?

Why do you need one with DHA?

I currently take Prefera OB but you need a prescription for it.

I'm afraid I don't know any good advice myself. The one my doctor prescribed contained a very high dose of folic acid (5 mg)and was so impudently expensive that, after some research and musing, I decided not to take it. I have to add that I am not a properly examined celiac, but have been on a diet for a long time. I just take Materna (huge, pink bricks, almost impossible to swallow) with 1 mg Folic Acid, and lots of omega-3-pills (made out of seaweed so that they don't taste of fish).

However, it would be interesting to know how much folic acid and Vitamin D the doctor recommended to you (everyone)?

Both amounts she recommended seemed very high dosage to me.

Thank you!

I take Jamieson's Pre-Natal (we are TTC - in Canada), it says "no gluten" right on the package :)

I take a b 12 suppliment and folic acid, rather than a prenatal vitamin. I have a b12 deficiancy, so in addition to the shots, they put me on the suppliment as well! The Nature's Bounty brand clearly states No Gluten :)

Since going gluten-free, I have switched to New Chapter Organics whole foods vitamins (non-GMO). Now that I am pregnant, I am taking Perfect Prenatal (a multivitamin) and Wholemega Prenatal (fish oil) for DHA. Since I can't have dairy, I also take their Bone Strength Take Care for (plant-sourced) calcium which also contains D3, magnesium, K1, and K2. According to their website, the above-mentioned products are the only 3 they recommend during pregnancy, and all the labels state gluten free.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
