I never cooked with it before...i just went shopping yesterday and picked it up. Need a gluten-free recipe. I have chicken broth and some veggies like peppers, onions, green onions, potatoes, carrots, and minced garlic. What can I do with that? LOL

This might work for you. I love it and make it for myself often.

Nice recipe, Roda!

I use quinoa like rice sometimes. You could cook it in the chicken stock, roast the other veggies, then pile your roasted veggies on top. No need to include a protein source since quinoa includes protein (pretty neat), but you could sprinkle with some grated cheese or chopped toasted nuts for added nutrition and flavor. So easy. So good.

oh i really like the grated cheese part too!!

It may be too late now, but next time why not try this one? It has robust flavours from the black beans and the chipotle peppers. The canned chipotle where I shop does contain gluten so I make my own. So, double check the canned chipotles there.

This recipe is very basic so I tweak it to suit my tastes but it is a nice option with shredded chicken. A good foundational recipe to build on.

I wasn’t clear, glucagon and gadolinium were intravenous. I drank about 5 cups of the prep during 45 minutes. I feel very tired now, probably partly because I was nervous, and partly because I had to fast for 6 hours beforehand and wasn’t very hungry when I got home.

That seems at lot of solution to have put threw you when you already have bowel issues , I will phone them tomorrow because it's sorbitol I have reactions too, thankyou for the input how do you feel now ? I'm not sure I can keep still for that long with my back issues either unfortunately I didn't know it could take that long 😕

The solution I had to drink contained sorbitol and mannitol. I was in the MRI, lying on my back, for about 40 minutes. I was given glucagon partway through, and a gadolinium contrast agent. After I got home there was some diarrhea from the prep solution.
