I had my first gluten free dining experience at P.F. Changs in Baton Rouge LA. What an experience! I had the lettuce wraps as an appetizer and chciken fried rice. The server brought out the sauces and informed me of the gluten free ones and the others with me got gluten filled sauces. My group allowed me to serve first (shared appetizer) and did not cross their foods over mine. The manager brought out the appetizer and the main dish and informed me that it was cooked in "clean" pans with "clean" utensils. I was really impressed. Will visit there again!

So glad you had a great experience! I did as well with pfChangs last month. It's wonderful to feel "normal". :)

Yes, they are wonderful! I worked there several years ago and now dine there often! They burn out the woks before cooking your meal to avoid cross contamination, and they put your food on a special plate so that you know it was prepared special for you! Wonderful experience every time!

I really wish I could go there. I want to take my daughter there. She used to LOVE Chinese food. Alas she is on a low carb diet now and I have an oyster allergy so I'm thinking no. I will have to eat vicariously.

Just went there last weekend in Orlando. Probably my favorite gluten-free/restaurant experience YET! I didn't feel deprived at all and didn't get sick. :D

Yes, P.F.Chang's has a great gluten-free menu. Their gluten-free flourless chocolate dome is to die for and the gluten-free lettuce wraps amazing!

Also, their cousin, Pei Wei has a limited menu. There I love their spicy shrimp, gluten free of course.

Plus, when you get it to go, they always give you a couple of packets of gluten-free soy sauce.

      Healthy diet leading to terrible bloating

      That sounds very hernia inducing work! You confirm what I have suspected, I get pain just to the right of the umbilical hernia, I am sure there is a connection. If do see my gastroenterologist I'll mention it again. I can't help thinking I've also got an issue in my groin, perhaps a hernia threatening, I guess an ultrasound would be needed to confirm...

      For the Inguinal hernia I could definitely feel it, and it came with an obvious bulge that appeared soon after doing a project where I was drilling holes on concrete using a very old school regular hand drill with mason bit, instead of a hammer drill with mason bit--this left me squatting over the drill putting my weight on it for several hours (the hammer...

      @Scott Adams Strange question but can you actually feel your hernia? I have so many abdominal lumps and bumps of longstanding (my GP said it's fat!) that I sometimes wonder if an inguinal hernia could be missed. I am quite sure some of my pain is from my umbilical hernia but that first came about courtesy of my second pregnancy.

      For the Inguinal hernia I could definitely feel it, and it came with an obvious bulge that appeared soon after doing a project where I was drilling holes on concrete using a very old school regular hand drill with mason bit, instead of a hammer drill with mason bit--this left me squatting over the drill putting my weight on it for several hours (the hammer drill would not have required this level of stress, nor the time it took). Bad idea--learn from my mistake in being "lazy" and not renting (or buying) the proper tool for the job. My umbilical hernia was around for many years, and I didn't feel that one at all, so never worried about it. My doctor basically recommended doing both in one surgery, which seemed like wise move.  As far as the possible IBS connection to either, it was definitely apparent after getting the Inguinal hernia, which is why I asked my doctor about that, but after getting both fixed I realize that the umbilical hernia likely also had mild IBS effects over the years.
