Labs Question-Confused

I'm scheduled for endoscopy and colonoscopy on Tuesday but I'm confused on my labs. My Gliaden IgG Ab is 22 (high). My ANCA scr IgA is 61 (low) and my ANA titer is 1:160 high mixed pattern homogenous. Any insight on these labs would be greatly appreciated. Oh BTW, I have hashimoto as well and have been on thyroid meds for years.

the glutensensitive test here is the gliadin IgG test.

Was it by chance the new very specific demaidated gliadin Ab test? I have seen labs just call them gliadin Ab when it was the new test which has different implications.

I guess it's all very confusing when you first find out. The Gliaden IgG (22 high) is under liver on the results as well as GGT (59 high) and the IgA (61 low) is under rheumatology. What confuses me is one is high and one is low. I haven't found much on the forum with a high and a low. I guess I'm ready to commit - I tried it for three months previously. The stomach pains almost double me over at times so I need to do something. At our Christmas luncheon at work, I ended up in the bathroom almost crying with pain. It's such a commitment.... I only hope that the tests tomorrow give me some answers. Thanks do much for responding!!

sounds like the gliadin IgG (22 high ) is the Gliadin Ab IgG. positive,

and the IgA is the total IgA which means the IgA type tests are not valid and one must look at the IgG type tests.

Next time they must run the IgG type tests.

that is what i was thinking, until I looked up ANCA scr.....seems to be related to crohns, but there isn't a scale, if present it is positive.....other things are kidney disease. there appear to be diffent preceding small letters for different issues....

aha! just thought of something....OP, is there - sign after the ANCA? and possible a comma?

Those results mean you might have autoimmunity other than celiac and Hashi's. ANA can also just show up and not mean much at all.

well just got home from the testing....apparently I have erosive gastritis and had 4 polyps removed. Doctor said he did 6 biopsies for celiac but those results won't be in for 10 days. Funny thing is that on the prep I had no stomach pains. I'm going to try to stay gluten free this time regardless of the results. Worse thing right now is the bone pain I'm feeling. :( Don't know if that's the prep or maybe detox??

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic.       Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce. Something is making my pain so much worse I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs. Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever...

      Oh my goodness medication causing pain !!!!

      I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ? I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet. Rebound muscle pain so intense ...

      Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️
