I saw this link on Udi's facebook page for Organic Sunshine Burgers and I was wondering if anyone has tried them.

I'm usually a pretty positive person but honestly can say I hate them. Can't cook them on the grill. They fall apart. Can't eat them on a bun. They fall apart. The texture is creepy. I miss Publix brand organic veggie burgers soooooo much. I have 3 more brands in the freezer. Here's hoping... I don't eat red meat and won't do turkey so...

My husband and I LOVE them. However, we both have gluten, dairy, egg, soy and other diagnosed allergy restrictions. So we didn't expect those to taste like meat patties. We especially like the garden and barbeque varieties, but the original variety is okay, too. If you have multiple food allergies, read the labels. Some Sunshine burgers have ingredients we can't safely eat.

We have cooked those in the microwave and toaster oven. We've also frozen them in our homemade 'tv dinners' with other vegies to heat and eat later. I never considered grilling them, because they are so easy to microwave.

I didn't like them.

Wanted to.

Just didn't. :(

Thanks Guys

I dont expect them to taste like meat, kinda was hoping they would taste more like the vegan pattys I use to eat :)

The closest store that carries them is about an hour drive ( one way). My daughter and her hubby went out to dinner tonight so they are going to pick me up some to try.

Here's hopping :)

I would try making homemade but rice does not seem to hold up well in the freezer when I make things like this

We love them. They are a staple in our house. Reminds me of the original Gardenburger.

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
