I have one more question for the day then I will stop posting and let someone else have a turn.

I think my question is for the monotors? What determines your status and what is the criterial for receiving additions "boxes" next to our name. Just curious?

Lisa B.

The number of posts determine that

He changed that so you don't get more boxes until more posts than that.

I think it is now:

1-24 New community member(1 box)

25-74 Community member(3 boxes)

75+ Advanced community member(6 boxes)

Oh, wow!

Shoot...........I thought that it was my shear brilliance and effervenscent personality that gave me those "boxes".......it appears that I just talk too much.

Honestly, I love this site and use it religiously and I have made some really good connections. I go through withdrawl when the comp. is down. I guess I am addicted to you all. I guess, I can call it a life-line.

When you sit alone and your family is "trying" to understand, your friends don't call because you are not being as social as you used to be and they don't understand your explaination ("Well you used to be ok with food") you just feel a little (or alot) alone...........I turn to you, all of you.

I know that many, if not all, have gone through this before, but it gives me a great feeling that many of you will come to my aid when it gets a little too much to handle, or simply, what can I put on chicken.

I don't know who created this web-site, but I thank him and all those who monitor and keep it going --- I truely appreciate your work.

I have joined the Celiac-Sprue Association and an expecting their book of products list shortly.

A simple thank all of you.

(I have no idea what forum I have ventured into, but I am sure that it will be put there properly).

Hey celiac3270--

What happened to your 'super advanced community member' ?? :D

celiac3270 Collaborator

Oh, that was a joke!

I found the place where you can change what it says underneath your name and I did--left it for two weeks before someone noticed. I changed it back.

skoki-mom Explorer

OK, now if someone can tell me how to post a picture....

I tried under my controls, put in the tag blah blah bah, nothing. Also not good at the html for a siggy <sigh>

I have some really great hockey siggys I'd like to use, lol!!

MySuicidalTurtle Enthusiast

I do not think we can post pictures on here. I tried all the different ways and nothing worked. I just assume the option has been turned off.

Carriefaith Enthusiast

yea, I think we can only put pictures in our avatars.

celiac3270 Collaborator

Right. Only in the avatar, or you can post a link if you have a pic on another site.... It's probably better that way--then spammers can't uhhh...pollute the board with any more potency.

VydorScope Proficient

Yes,. the file attachment, and hte IMG tags have been disabled. You can set your avatar to what ever you want, or paste in a link or ppl to click to see a photo, but thats about it... Ive not checked to see if you can post a picture in the blog section yet though....

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
