Bug Crawling Or Hair On Skin Sensation

Before I went gluten-free I was having issues with a feeling of hairs on skin that were not there or bugs crawling on my skin that were also were not there. That all passed being on the diet and staying away from wheat. Now my husband is having the same issue. Anyone know the reason for this?

Husband says he wants to talk to his doc before going on a gluten-free diet. I hope he gets answers, docs could not help me.

I hope the doc can figure it out too. But mostly that what needs to be done, Will be.

Anyone else here have these issues before going off gluten? I did, and not had any issues since. I definately want to hear a doc's opinion on this and see what their approach will be but it has been my experience that if this is a reaction to gluten they are not going to be aware. I am not sure doc's even consider problems asociated with gluten.

It can also be an allergic reaction. I seem to get this several hours after eating something or taking a medication that I am having some sort of mild reaction to. I've had it after eating something that was gluten free, but had certain food coloring in it, or possible antibiotic residue because the item was not organic.

But the neuro symptoms are more like the most annoying, constant buzz as if you are hitting the electric fence and are partially insulated.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
