  1. I also recommend the Celiac Disease: A Hidden Epidemic by Dr. Green I have just ordered 3 more books.
  2. I also had a strang reaction to a herbal tea. I had been drinking tee but switched brands and it looked fine by the label. I had gotten such a huge belly and couldn't figure out what was doing that and went away for a couple of days and was fine came back on monday drank a couple of cups of tea for just a couple of days and the belly got huge again, then...
  3. I was all negitive also, but lots of problems and nothing to link it to. I did the diet even after the doctor said "I would never diagnoise anyone with Celiac because I don't think anyone could stick to that diet." I was numb from the waist down and some problems with arms but not like in the legs. Went gluten free and ta-da All feeling are back to about...
  4. I no you said you were gluten free alread, buy maybe it is other intorlerences like dairy, or soy or corn. Maybe you have to cut down to the basics like fruits, veggies, chicken and fish for a few week and then start to add things when you start feeling better. I know this has worked for others.
  5. I can see where maybe the people around us that don't take this serious would maybe think differently if we wore a medical necklace or bracelet. My family in itself don't think this is serious and they have taken me to several different doctors that I can't count on both hands and feet.
  6. Well I don't know if this just happened this way or if it has more to do with it than I think. I went on a liquid B Vitamin about 6 weeks ago. I noticed after being on it 2-3 weeks that I didn't want candy after supper when my husband did. We both wanted to quit the habit it was daily. So we ate up the candy and my husband also started taking the liquid...
  7. wow Gail that is an interesting artical. I try to avoid Frutose because I feel ill when I get it. I now also try to avoid all sugars as much as I can.
  8. My depression increased also and it was Vit B that was way below the right levels. I now take the liquid Vit B complex which is all B Vitamins.
  9. Well it could be all 3 things you listed. If it has only been 3 month it may need more time. I myself, is in my 9th month. I did notice alot of changes for the better right away, but still working on still healing and dificiencies. I can tell with the very little gluten if I get gluten. However you could have intorlerences to other things. I have a...
  10. I had the depression just shortly before my diagnosis of Celiac. What has helped me the most is, I take a liquide Vit-B complex. I just put it in a little juice or water. I know it helps with my mood swings, food cravings and alot more. I was so low at my last apptment that I will just stay on this so my body doesn't go under what my body needs. Your...
  11. Hi Geoff, I am in the same shoes as you. Some days I think that it could be corn or dairy and it only happens to me when I have larger amounts of one or the other that I get "Gluten feeling" upset stomach or headach, mood swings something on that order. If I have just a little I don't see the effects so I think my body is still healing and I hope it goes...
  12. So what are some of the guidelines for the zone diet. I have seen that mentioned in a couple of different post. I would appreciate a little more info if you are willing to share. Thanks
  13. I was also in a very low state with the iron. My doctor put me on iron tablet and my iron got worse. Put me on a liquid iron and it worked great I got above normal limits. Use the rest of the bottle and by the time I see my doctor about 60 days later I was back down so far again. So now she has me on a liquid iron and a liquid B vitamins and boy they...
  14. I personally chose not to get test. I have been doctoring since 1998. I started the diet after coming across this board and someone I met that had Celiac. I then tried the diet instead of getting tested. I don't want that in my chart if I do ever come self employeed like I want to it would make it harder to get insurance at that time. It is a preference...
  15. Welcome to ALL!!! This board is wonderful.
  16. I was just to the store to get Trix. The origanl Trix are gluten free made with cornmeal, however if you get the Trix with the flower shape and thing they have flour in them.
  17. I was going to also mention, I would bet there is another food allergie going on. You may have to cut out more foods or do the food diary to find out which days you are feeling bad and what you ate. But that is sometime hard because you may have delayed reactions to some foods so it may not be exactly the day you ate it. Good luck!
  18. Congrats to you! That is awsome to lose like that. I have gained some weight since starting the diet but I am not a big fruit and veggie fan and have turned to the wrong foods and now I am trying to eat mostly fruits, veggies and meats to lose the weight I have gained. I hope it works for me too.
  19. It may be nothing but if goes on much longer you should see a doctor. I spotted for 2 years before I went gluten free and the last year was everyday. The doctor could not find anything wrong and said my body must be going through a phase. I went gluten free and about 3 months everything is normal like it was about 3 years ago.
  20. I spotted for over 2 years prior to going glutten free. First it started periods not regular and then for about the last year I spotted everyday. Had all kinds of test done everything was just fine. Went glutten free and about 2 months no more spotting. It may take a little more time or you may be having problems with another food intolerent.
  21. I was getting very strong chest pains and found out I am also allergic to Millet. Chest pain for about 8 hours at a time. I finally found the link after always having strong chest pain after having gluten free banana bread that had millet in it. Millet showed up on my test at the natural pathic doctors appt. I also get chest pain from gluten found in...
  22. "Monkey Butt??" I am not sure what that is. My hair has gotton thicker since going gluten free and I do have to cut my bangs every week. So yes I do think there is a corlation there.
  23. My ultimate favorite driver has always been Darrel Waltrip!! I also like to watch Kevin Harvick, Casey Kahne, and more. My husband want to go to Daytona in 2008 for a week or more. I think he said it will be Daytona's 50th anniversary so there would be a special feeling for him, he thinks. As far as sprint cars we have them in our area rarely. But on...
  24. It may be possable to consolidate your car payment with the credit cards which would both be at a lower rate? I don't know how much you have with both, but some credit card offers no interest for a year and/or low interest for life of low as long as paid on time each month. Other than that I am not sure. Is there something you could do from home even if...
