ARCHIVED Has Anyone Ever Heard Of This
mn farm gal replied to rutland's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I have done something very simiular to this, but it was called a gallbladder flush. From what I remember it was epson salt in water (set for 4hours) and mixed with 1/2 cup of olive oil and juice from a lemon. You drink this at bedside and then lie down. When you wake you will have to go to the bathroom and you will probably see stones. I did this about... -

ARCHIVED The Emotional Side Of This
mn farm gal replied to Anonymousgurl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I feel for you, I was there also. The only suggestion for you from me would be to make sure that you are totally gluten free, watch for the hidden gluten. Eat very simple things for a month or 2 to help heal the intestines. This gets boaring but is worth it. Then add the other gluten free things that you can make but first do plain meats, veggies and... -

ARCHIVED How Can I Feel Better Before My Biopsy?
mn farm gal replied to luvmydogs's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms

Marlene I am sorry you feel so horrible today. I remember feeling this way before I was gluten free I had several issuse going on at one time. I did invest in a Natral pathic doctor, worth the money. Thank you, I haven't seen either brand but will watch for them. -
Does anyone know of Latta flavorings that are gluten free. I have taken myself off of all soda products and coffee. But what I like is some milk warmed up like hot coco but with different flavors. Anyone have any suggestions or recipies for a drink like this that could be made up and then add to milk? Thanks.

ARCHIVED Gluten Alergy+asthma+gastritis+ Stress=bad Nights Sleep
mn farm gal replied to artc98's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I had some otf these same issues. Before gluten free I would get about 20-30 minutes of sleep every 2 hours, this was so bad it was affecting my job. Brain fog got so bad that I had to tell them at work about my health problems. In the meantime I was checked for celiac, went gluten free and now I sleep like a baby. I am fairly new to the Celiac thing and just wondering how everyone keeps track of what is gluten free and where you got it. I am in a fairly rural area and so when I go to a town farther away I am always looking and I am there forever reading labels. Does anyone make your own list to go by and keep track because what is at one store may not be at the next... -

I had very noticable thinning especially toward the back of my head. I am a sever anemic person at the time of my diagnosis and was put on liquid iron, after about 3 months it has slowed down alot. Now I think the hair amount that I lose now is about right.
