  8. I have had mixed feelings about them too. I seem to have a reaction to their food. But, I guess I thought it was their MSG that I was reacting to. Who knows. I make jambalaya alot of times from scratch without any reactions. That just seems safest sometimes
  9. Thanks Michelle! eKatherine.....Thanks for the reply. As much as I would like to see my wife go gluten-free, I think it would be like trying to suck the juice out of a turnip. Even if she tried, it might last a week with her. God love her!
  10. When patients have diarreah, the doctor will put them on a B.R.A.T. diet it stands for bannanas, rice, applesauce, and toast. All these foods are self "binding", and can cause solid stools in someone with diarreah, and can cause MAJOR constipation in others. You might be eating too much rice or "rice " products. Alot of people go CRAZY on rice when they...
  11. I have celiac, and my mother has celiac. Now, my wife is pregnant , and I pray that my child isn't. 17. Anyone ever have a problem after drinking the occasional cup of maxwell house coffee? I know that coffee is gluten-free, but it still pisses off my DH. 18. Wild oats markets in KY have all products clearly labled with a pink tag, right next to the price on the shelf that says "GLUTEN FREE" next to ERERY product in the entire store that is gluten-free. And they are right next to the Regular items and intermingled. You can actually shop like a normal human being. There's no gluten-free isle. That's like a Short...

I told my doc and he wants to do a blood test for celiac. only problem is that I have been on a gluten-free diet for 2 months now. Am I wasting my time doing the blood test. Will it show a false negative?
  23. All doctors have a problem with Celiac Disease for several reasons... 1. It is a new disease that wasn't spoke of in med schools before mid 1990's. any doctor who graduated prior to this was never taught this. 2. The few doctors who do know this disease learned about it through med journals that ALWAYS show the most severe cases. I have DH that looks NOTHING...
