  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. A lot of people in my family can't drink cows milk. I remember using goats milk a lot. I could never get my girls to drink soy. Amy
  3. Hi, I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to store muffins. I usually put them in a Rubbermaid container or a ziplock bag. The next time we go to eat them the tops of them stick to your fingers. My mother once told me muffins and quick breads should not be stored airtight. Could this be the problem? Thanks to anyone with any advice. Amy E Topolski
  4. Hi, I just ran across this thread and would LOVE to do this for my daughters. I have absolutely no idea where to start! Is sweet rice ok to use? I think we have almost 15 lbs of that. How do you cook the rice? I have only used it for flour. I tried it today with 1 cup rice 2 cups water and it fell apart. Also, how do you get filling in it? Any help...
  5. Thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately they won't eat hotdogs or lunch meat any more. They don't like soup, tacos, quesadillas, or gluten free noodles. We also are on a tight budget so we don't buy anything that is prepackaged gluten free. Only naturally gluten free products. I will definately be tring the peanut butter and apples, but we won't be able...
  6. Hi, my daughter'a are 2 & 3 and have recently been giving me some trouble about food. I am at my wits ends. My 2 year old is only 23 lbs and I would hate to see her loose any weight. They can't have any lactose, eggs or food coloring which makes things harder. They use to eat lunch meat with fresh fruits and veggies and lactose free cheese. They...
  7. Hi, This is the recipe I know of. Hope it helps. For 1 teaspoon of baking powder, mix
  8. Hi, As I mentioned in my last post, my girls can not tolerate any amount of lactose. They also don't like soy yogurt and can not handle any artificial color. This made buying yogurt very hard. I found a website GIProheath.com, they make a dairy, soy, corn, gluten and wheat free yogurt starter called ProGurt. So I decided to give it a try. They say...
  9. Another thing to concider is the person. My Kitchenaid pan were in very good condition and I had to replace them with sainless steel. My daughter is very sensitive and is easly gluten by the smallest amount of cross contamination. Everytime I cooked in those pans after she felt better she was sick again. In that case, it's going to be trial and error....
  10. Thanks. We already use the milk but my girls are too young for the pill and we couldn't afford it even if they could take it. Also, I forgot to mention that they can't have any artificail colors. This makes it very difficult. Amy
  11. Hi, My daughter now 3 1/2 and her 2 year old sister are lactose intolerant. They also have never been very fond of soy yogurt and I feel they don't need all that soy if they don't have to have it. So, I was thinking about making my own. I was looking at yogurt makers but could use some more info. Has anyone ever tried this? I read that the longer it...
  12. Try this recipe for sauce. Open Original Shared Link Amy
  13. This is a dairy, gluten and egg free cake recipe I just made last week. Everyone likes it! It's very moist and did not dry out the next day. If you don't want to use the coffee water will work as well. I did this as cup cakes and not in the bundt pan. I think cup cakes cook better. Amy Eggless Chocolate Cake 1 tablespoon plus 1/2 cup baking cocoa...
  14. Hi, My daughter is exrtemely reactive. I think it could be possible seeing that my daughter is that sensitive. Hope your feeling well soon! Amy
  15. I think ice cream is a great idea! I would be very happy to see a diary free ice cream recipe. Say some with coconut cream or another dairy free cream alternative. Amy
  16. Hi, I know it keeps best of stored in the fridge or if frozen, but I couldn't find how long was ok. Sorry. Amy
  17. Not minute rice. And there are no silly questions. Amy
  18. Any flour that you want to make yourself is just the grain (rice - any kind). If you want to do it you would have to invest in a grain mill. They aren't cheep, but they are worth it! Amy
  19. This is the link for the recipe we use. It's very good! Open Original Shared Link Amy
  20. Hi, this is what i found on that product To convert any recipe, simply use a cup of all-purpose gluten-free flour to replace 1 cup of flour. Amy
  21. Hi, I use a mixture of 2 cups rice flour, 2/3 cups potato starch, 1/3 cup tapioca starch and 3 tsp xanthan gum. Amy
  22. Thanks for the reply. My only concern is cross contamination. My daughter is highly reactive and reacts to even gluten free products. So, I prefer to make basically everything she eats. Amy
  23. Hi, I have recently been trying to find a recipe for noodles since we can't afford to buy premade gluten free noodles. I did find a recipe on this website, but it call for potato flour. My daughter is not a fan of this flour. So, I was just wondering if anyone else had a good recipe. Thanks for the help. Amy
  24. I haven't had Samoas in years. As far as I can tell they are sooo much the same. We (me and my husband) ate 24 in one night! I don't know if we'll make them very often to avoid that. Also, we had to make them lactose and egg free. My mother who is not celiac loved them as well. They are definately worth a try! I used a recipe for the Girl Scout Shortbread...
  25. Just wanted to let you know after making these there is no reason to use muffin tins. Just lay your cookies on anything you want. The gooey stuff will not run off! Amy
