  1. They have all of those. It's the only place I buy from. When you go to their page clip on the link STORE. Then under choose a catagory choose gluten free flour and products. If you can't find a certain product just type it in the search spot. Their products that are naturally gluten free (like products that are not flours) are probably listed under a...
  2. Try this website for flours. Cathysbulkfoods.com. That is where I shop and there is no risk of cc. We do not buy anything that says manufactured in the same facility as. My daughter is very sensitive and can even react to gluten free pre made foods. I think other people buy these products and are just fine though. Amy
  3. Open Original Shared Link I just made this recipe today and it was awesome! I did make some changes. We only used 2 cups of coconut and didn't cook it as long as it called for. I also made the gluten-free shortbread cookies. Definately worth looking at! Enjoy! Amy
  4. Here is a recipe for quinoa cereal. My daughters both love this. Hot Breakfast Cereal Bring 2 cups water to a boil, add 1 cup quinoa, reduce heat, simmer 5 minutes. Add 1/2 cup thinly sliced apples, 1/3 cup raisins, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and simmer until water is absorbed. Serve with milk or cream and sweeten to taste with honey or brown sugar Here are some...
  5. Hi, I have 2 recipes for cream of mushroom soup, but none for the cake. Cream of Mushroom Soup 1 cup dry milk powder (we use a non-dairy creamer) 1 cup white rice flour 2 Tbsp dehydrated minced onions (can be omitted)
  6. Here another recipe I found but I have not tried yet. Just haven't had a lot of time with 2 little ones that are gluten free. It is for noodles and is very similar to my great grandma's recipe that she made everytime we saw her. The only difference is the xanthan gum and it's not wheat flour! Good luck and please feel free to contact me if you need any...
  7. I always make my breads by hand. No mixers. Just a wooden spoon. Keeps ya in shape! Amy
  8. I can't say that I have seen a recipe that called for buth. My guess is thar the egg replacer would help bind the recipe together. Amy
  9. The only thing I can help with is the pie crust. This recipe is modified for my daughter so feel free to change and omit things. Hope you enjoy! Amy Pie Crust 1cup gluten-free flour mix
  10. I believe it is 2-3 weeks. Sorry I forgot to mention it! Amy
  11. I'm soooo glad you enjoyed it. Feel free to share the recipe with outhers! Amy
  12. I use Ener-G replacer for most everything. The best way to use it is to use 1 tbsp powder to 2 tbsp of warm water. I've never had anything not turn out yet. The other thing you can use if flax meal. Mix together 1 cup cold water and 1/4 cup flax meal and shake well. Store in the fridge and shake well before each use. Use 1/4 cup per egg. Amy
  13. Tell me how the applesauce instead of Crisco or margarine works. I'll be interested in trying a lower fat option as well! Amy
  14. This is the recipe I used for my daughter's 3rd birthday. It is listed as we did it for her other allergies so I will also list the alterations. It was a big hit here. Hope you enjoy! This recipe calls for 1 egg. Cake 1
  15. We cut our loaf in half and store half in the freezer and the other half stays on the counter in a rubbermaid container. It stays soft and moist till it's gone in a couple of days. Then we put take the other half out of the freezer and leave that on the counter as well. Haven't had any trouble so far! Amy
  16. A slow cooker section would be awsome. Also, I would enjoy a substitution of flours. My daughter doesn't like bean flour so what do use instead when a recipe calls for it? I also agree with the condiments. My daughter is so severly reactive that she gets sick even when things are gluten free. So I make everything at home. Another helpful section would...
  17. Hi, I haven't tried this recipe yet, but it looks good. It is a cinnamon bread, but I'm sure you could leave the cinnamon out if you prefer. Here is the recipe. Amy Cinnamon Bread 1/2 cup rice flour 1/2 potato starch 2 tbsp tapioca flour 1/2 tsp corn free baking powder (recipe below) 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup sugar 2 tbsp...
  18. Hi, I have been looking for a recipe for granola and can't seem to have any luck. I do not use oats at this time due to fear of another recation for my daughter. I just introduced millet and found out she can't have it. She is still getting better from that after 2 weeks. So, I'm wondering if anyone has some good recipes out there. Any help would be...
  19. I looked on the Kraftfoods website and red the ingredients on their blue cheese dressing. I didn't se any indication that it had any gluten in it. Just thought I'd let you know incase you wanted to check it out. Amy
  20. I buy my starches, xanthan gum and grains from a local store here in Appleton WI. If you want to check out their website it is Cathysbulkfoods.com. They have very good deals and are Celiac friendly. They have a section in their store dedicated to gluten free products. The starches are 80 cents a lb and you can get 50 lbs of brown rice for $20 but I don...
  21. I use quinoa mainly in bread recipes about 1/4 cup per recipe. We tried doing different meals, but it was too hard and too risky for my daughter. After all of us going gluten free my younger daughter's severe acid reflux and severe allergies have gone away. She is no longer on 3 medicine twice a day. Which is a blessing! Also, I have had great results...
  22. For muffins I use a mix that I measure ahead of time. Its 2 cup rice flour (we use brown for the extra vitamins and protein), 2/3 cup potato starch, 1/3 cup tapioca starch and 3 tsp xanthan gum. I find this works good for most baked goods. Yes, I get the same satisfaction from it being my own.
  23. I find that it does taste better. I know $200 dollars is a lot but it will pay for it'self in no time. Also, a grain mill cannot grind flax meal. My flours are not heavy with this grain mill. Espcially on the finest setting. Amy
  24. I have done all my own gluten free baking since day one. I have bought prepackaged foods, but my daughter reacts to them. She is severly reactive to cross contamination. She is 3 now and the reason we all went gluten free. We never had an issue with money before, but still didn't want to spend all that money on gluten free foods. Now my husband just...
  25. Hi, I also am a wimp when it comes to hot sauce. We love Franks Red Hot. It is gluten and MSG free and inexpensive. To make a milder sauce, but the original Frank's Red Hot. Instead of using the recipe on the bottle use 1/2 cup butter with 1/3 cup hot sauce. My husband can't seem to get it hot enough, so I make to small bathches. His regular and the...
