OHH! I hope they are proper crumpety. I sometimes buy the livwell ones, they are nice but don't taste like crumpets. I had the purebred hot cross buns as well. They have just bought out English muffins and mini pikelets. I tried the muffins- I prefer them to the livewell. Both are nice, just not really like English muffins- but I'm starting to think they... -

I suggest anyone.who has any frozen weiggt watchers meals in their freezer to check ingredients. I boughtthe satay one for lunch only to discover it has wheat in it now. Somehow in the coconut. I have no other food and no shop near so I just had to scrap out the rice, rinse.under the tap and.eat it. Lucky not that sensitive. -

What hot cross buns has everyone been eating? I've had the purebred ones. The only other ones I've seen are the Woolworths own brand ones, but I picked up a pack and felt like it weighed a ton. Experience tells me heavy baked gluten-free stuff is usually horrid, but interested if anyone has tried them? -

A few more places Snowflake - a gelato place in Soho. I was told by one staff member that they have some gluten free cones but I just had it in a cup. Most of the gelatos on the day I went were gluten-free but not sure if they change the flavours each day. The staff knew which were gluten-free . There is a boost juice on Oxford st- There are also a few... -

Have unfortunately returned from my trip. The food on the plane was fine. On the way over (British airways) it really didn't taste that good. I don't think it was because it was gluten-free, every ones looked fairly average. So on to eating in England. Supermarkets The supermarkets in England have a lot more ready to eat meals than we do here... -
I also take my own, more because it gives me something to eat if the meal isn't loaded. I suspose having paid so much for flights it would be nice be provided with the same as everyone else. Also as this is usually like a little bag of chips or something they could easily have ones that are gluten-free and could be given to everyone. Very minor thing though...

I flew with Emirates last year from Australia to London and Dublin to Aus. I didn't have a problem except from Singapore to Australia. At Singapore airport I had asked to change seats. I informed ground staff that I needed a special meal and was assured the change of seat not effect my meal. Turns out the change did not go through and my meal was given to...

In case anyone else enjoyed them I found the Coles brand quinoa cups the other day. Hope this means they are going to start selling them again, they are probably my favourite thing from their own brand range. They are so handy for lunches at work. What does everyone else take for lunch? Been struggling with this a bit lately. I have a fridge and microwave... -

Does anyone know where I can gluten-free version of jaffas? I'm sure last year I found a generic brand in one of the supermarkets but can't find any generic versions this year. It's sort of tradition at home to have jaffas and mint leaves on the table on Christmas Day and don't want to miss out! Was kinda disappointed this year to see that big bag... -

Woolies seem to have decided they want to get in on fresh gluten-free bakery thing like Coles. Purchased a pack of two lemon muffins tonight. Can't believe all these that there was nothing and now most majors have decided to introduce the ranges within weeks. -

Coles are selling little tubs of sweets things like Rum balls as part of their Christmas range and a lot of them are marked gluten-free. They are been sold in same section as Christmas puddings etc. They aren't part of the simply range , the packs have red stickers and it says gluten free on them. Might be handy for friends/relatives - they might not feel... -

These look similar to the Simply wize ones. Open Original Shared Link Maybe have a look in some deli type grocery stores, I have sometimes seen gluten-free wafer type crackers in those. -

Helgas is available in Brisbane. I've seen it in Coles and Woolworths stores in the city. I haven't tried it yet, it looks similar to the Brugen bread- which I tried and thought the texture was awful. If you only tried the white genius bread, give the brown or seeded one ago. They are a lot nicer I think. -

Shame about the Quinoa cups, noticed the few Coles I go to hadn't had them but was hoping it was just them. Really like Quinoa but I can't seem to cook it correctly so the heat and eat cups were ideal. Very happy about your verdict on Genius bread been best in fibre. I can now "justify" the hefty price tag. I also freaked out the first time I tried their... -

Just check that it says free from gluten. I think 99% of products in free from ranges are gluten-free but I have on occasion seen something Free from that might just be dairy and soy freee for example. If you find yourself in Brixton Market, check out the gluten-free cafe. I wouldn't make a trip there speciifically to go to the bakery though. The food...- 4 replies

I don't have pasta very often but when I do is always San Remo. Defiently the best gluten-free one, I even have normally gluten eating friends who like it. For anyone in Brisbane try Primal Pantrty. It is a cafe that serves Paleo food. So everything is gluten free, as the diet excludes grains. Also dairy free. It's really nice to be able to order anything... -

Coles are now selling primo branded hot roast beef portions that are marked gluten-free. They are sold in bags like the roast chicken. It is probably a bit more expensive than buying a piece to roast yourself but sure is convenient. For lunch tomorrow, I'm going to have a roast beef and mustard sandwich on genius seeded bread. YUM! Now if they just starting... -

Hi. I live in Aus but have been to England a few times - I love the variety of gluten-free that you have. I'll start by listing some of the products I liked over there. Genius- they make breads, crossiants, pan aui chocolate and pizza bases. The brown and multigrain bread are some of the best gluten-free I've had Livwell- They make bread roll/crumpets... -

One of my local coles has got a bunch of American products in and also somce of the schar range. The American ones seems to be from Glutino and another brand that have a kind of instant pad thai. Seems that they are getting rid of some of things they had previously but at least some of what they are getting in seems to be different instead of just chocolate... -

Not very good with other health food but maybe a loaf with seeds, like Chia? I think they are susposed to be good for fibre. -

Hi Sammykins, Welcome to the board! This thread isn't as active as it used to be, but a number of us still lurk around and will do our best to answer any questions. Can I suggest that you post any questions relating to specific products here. As you probably realise, this is an international forum but some products that are gluten-free in one country... -
Mermaids is now called Grill on the Square. Dinned there twice. The first time I ordered gluten-free fish and chips but I knew by looking at it that they had given me the regular one. I questioned it and they were happy to fix it for me. The second time I had no problem. Also try La Tasca. It a tapas chain. Lots of gluten free options and ideal in a group...
