  1. Dori- I'm so glad you started this thread. Today I was questioning my ability to ever work full-time again. Right now I am part-time faculty although I taught a full-load last semester. But, I got glutened pretty severely last week which gives me mood swings and makes me doubt everything. I had a rough first year gluten-free but it got a little better...
  2. That is awesome! Maybe Gozmo can Open Original Shared Link warning SusieQ- You will be grossed out but it's very funny!
  3. Correct- we do have a duty to present the facts however, I have yet to meet anyone who had ALL the facts on celiac. We can speak from experience and what we know from medical literature (which has its own flaws). Waxing philisophical about gluten cc versus eating a slice of bread vs skiing off piste really doesn't do anyone any good.
  4. You are correct, but I'm just trying to do my job as a moderator.
  5. Could we please get back on topic? I believe Jerry was asking about gluten withdrawal. If you want to debate about what's safe and not safe in terms of CC and eating gluten 2-3 times a year, please do it through PM's or start another thread. Thanks.
  6. Dude- That's crazy Open Original Shared Link Funny Bumper Stickers: Where there's a will ... I want to be in it. I took an IQ test and the results were negative. Ever stop to think, and forget to start again? On the other hand, you have different fingers. A day without sunshine is, like, night. Two wrongs don't make a...
  7. GO PATTI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. OMG! AWESOME- my dad loves George carlin! I haven't been feeling very funny these days (gluten ) but I really need to play. Let me see what I can whip out. Where is Richard? He's been eaten by his job, Carla and Nikki's computers have been eaten by viruses. We CANNOT let this thread die! I need: Viagra Coffee spacer This elderly...
  9. Yeah! Good news. Love that your daughter piped up!
  10. Sandy- I'm glad they got her in too. I just sent my husband that list of words so he can use it as a translation guide. What's wrong? Nothing? Are you sure? Yeah, I'm fine. (run for the hills baby, run for the hills!) My favorite is "That's OK, I got it!" because that means i asked you to do it three times, I'm tired of waiting...
  11. I was thinking about animal food and such too...even my dog and cats are gluten free. Another problem could be at school if he's sitting at a table where other kids are eating sandwiches OR if he's getting food from the cafeteria line. It must be really frustrating for you (and him too) but it really does take time to heal. i went through a "honeymoon...
  12. I was thinking cross-contamination too or gluten in some product he uses. 14 is a tough age, but unless something is going on at school (have you asked him if school is OK?) then it could be getting gluten from somewhere you don't suspect. I've been gluten-free for 2 years and I still have days where I have those vague symptoms (the same as his). It was...

    ARCHIVED Gluten Ataxia

I don't know for sure but I think it's possible as when my hubby had his stroke he lost half the use of his cerebellum but the brain is amazing in that the other half "takes over" for the damaged half so he has no noticeable side effects with a few exceptions. His arm is very temperature sensitive (cold feels hot and hot feels cold) but even that's gotten...
  14. Yikes! I'm so sorry. My first thought was blood sugar as that is EXACTLY how I get when I get hypoglycemic and it's very scary. How long have you been gluten-free? Any chances you are intolerant to something else? panic attacks? Gosh- I'm trying to think. Pregnancy? Medication side effect? have you had a full blood panel?
  15. Thank you thank you thank you! One of my best friends worked at BZ's in Dennisport the summer we graduated from college. i may drive down there just for pizza!
  16. You could return them and exchange them for the body creams which DON"T have any gluten in them and are even MORE moisturizing.
  17. I suppose anything is possible, but I got so sick eating gluten and it took me such a long time to get better I would NEVER do it again.
  18. OMG- how could I have missed this thread! You can buy a vowel. I'd like to sell a constipation-I mean consonant.
  19. That is awesome!!!!!!!
  20. Double EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. OMG- they are so cute! I want one! We have a 4 month Aussie Shepherd/Lab mix. Rescued him amd love, love love him! <-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22. OMG- JackieM , you may be NEW but you are so IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to PIMP Ze AUTO! My computer's broken to. Gluten. Unfortunately, it's the one inside my head. Blech!
  23. That is awesome- my friend who owns a liquor store started carrying it because it was less expensive than Bard's tale. I have a question though. If beer is on draft, as opposed to bottled, we probably couldn't drink it? Are all the tap lines the same? maybe it won't matter as you'll just get it bottled in a bar. Just thinking out loud.
