Donna: both my mom and I were both suprised that they didn't do a stool test especially since my mom specifically asked them about parasites. The main reason we were worried about this is because all of my symptoms seemed to get bad after spending the summer with my boyfriend at his mom's house. The reason that being at her house made us think of this... -

the thing is that i barely eat potatoes or rice (in any form). Maybe once a week if that before tonight it had been almost 2 weeks since i had ate either of these. I think i am going to make a doctors appt. with my gp for later this week. and make her at least to a stool sample test for whatever can be tested that way since they have never done that which... -

Family health is good. My mom and everyone on her side of the family has severe joint pain even all of my cousins which is why me having it has never really been that big of a suprise. otherwise my mom is in very good health. she just had her gall bladder removed this past september and the funny thing was that the doctors found it but she had never had any... -

I have not been tested by enterolab yet. I am thinking about it but was wondering a few things about them. Like if my results did come back negative does that mean that i don't have it or could i still have it? no i haven't eliminated sugar that would be even harder than eliminating gluten. I am a big sugar junkie!! -

Yea they don't take it that seriously in my town but i was tested by a doctor in a larger city a few hours away. They had sent me to see a specialist becuase of my joint pain and lyme was the first thing they tested me for there where they never considered it at all in my own town. So i am guessing that they took it more seriously there. -

rinne: I am not sure which lab did my lyme test. It was quite some time ago. I had it done because I was having joint pain. I live in rural northern minnesota and have at least 10 usually more tick bites a year its a hazzard of loving the outdoors in the north. as for dairy. I don't use butter just margarine. and i don't really like the tast of cheese... -

I have been tested for lyme disease. It was a long time ago but it was one of the first things they tested me for when I started having bad joint pain. I am not really eating dairy. I don't like milk haven't drank it since my mom stopped forcing it on me. It never made me feel bad i just really don't like the taste of it. I eat the occassional yogurt... -

I haven't had any scopes done. I am absolutely terrified of doctors which is making this all that much harder! I have had my gall bladder checked a few different times. The first time when I first started getting sick and then they just did it again this fall because my mom actually needed to have hers taken out in september. I swear the doctors are idiots... -

I am hoping I can talk my mom into letting me do this test. i know she will do anything to make me feel better and I need it because i just keep getting more and more stressed out and that makes me feel even worse and it is causing major strain on my social life and also in my relationship with my boyfried. I cry myself to sleep everynight just wishing that... -
ok so i was just wondering a few things about enterolab. which test should i do. I can't afford to do both the stool antibody test and the gene panel. if I have to choose one which one do you recommend i do? On their website, they said that the stool one would be the better of the two. Is this still true even after I have been gluten free for almost 2 months...

ARCHIVED How Did Your Thanksgiving Go?
linds replied to lpellegr's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I had a wonderful thanksgiving meal! We had turrkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed sweet potatoes, corn, and cranberry sauce. Also, everyone but me had dressing. But I have never liked dressing so it was ok. And my mom was so thoughtful she didn't make rolls for anyone because she knows that is my favorite part of the meal. My mom did all the cooking... -
