    You only need ONE gene to get celiac or gluten intolerance. Although I think that if you have two - one from your father & one from your mother that you have worse symptoms... AND by the way you can only have two at the most, one from each parent. OR just one, from one parent.

    I love Lundberg Anything!!! I eat their rice & their rice chips - sea salt. I seem to be able to eat rice. Lisa, do you get the bags of long grain white rice?     I have double DQ1 genes. That is commonly referred to as Gluten Intolerance. Gluten Intolerance is as bad or worse than "Celiac". Gluten Intolerance also comes with neurological issues etc. When you are tested for the genes at your doctors office they only test for DQ2 & DQ8.
