ARCHIVED Marshall Protocol?
HawkFire replied to HawkFire's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I am not understanding it the same way. It seems to me that a new idea about "auto immune diseases" has come about. That "diseases" such as ra, lupus, fibromyalgia, cfs and more are actually all the same disease presenting in a variety of ways. Sort of like Celiac with it's many, many, many possible symptoms. So, what you have is a "bug" that gets in... -
ARCHIVED Marshall Protocol?
HawkFire replied to HawkFire's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I am stunned. Are they suggesting that ra and lupus are symptoms of a bacterial infection!? Are they suggesting that lupus and ra and other rheumatic diseases can be cured by killing an infection? So, that would mean "auto immune" is not accurate. Like the hpylori bacteria for ulcers. I am so shocked. Is this right? -
ARCHIVED Marshall Protocol?
HawkFire posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I have visited a site recently where a poster asked if the Marshall protocol could cure celiac disease. Someone suggested it could. I am stunned. Is this a fact? I am having a difficult time understanding what exactly the marshall protocol is. How can it cure celiac disease? -

ARCHIVED A Day In The Life Of A Gf Child
HawkFire replied to azedazobollis's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
There is a lot of unhealthy food mentioned here. Kids do not have to eat cookies, chips and ice cream. I think the menus of some of these children are unhealthy and sure to promote disease in the future. Cereal is not healthy. Potato chips are not a vegetable. Why does anyone eat ice cream? Some of you who posted should re-read... -
I enjoy the cchocolate cake mix by kininkinik. I imagine it would make a lovely cupcake as well.

HawkFire replied to kimber's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Oh, yes. I agree. I avoid all of their products as a result of being tricked by them once. I never trust a gluten-free compnay that steals my money once. I like kinnikinnick. I think i finally spelled that correctly. you can order kinkinkinkinkinki foods right from their web site. I keep it in my favorites so I never have to spell it again. -

ARCHIVED Pork Digestive Systems Of Pigs... Does It Remove Gluten?

Open Original Shared Link If by "questionable" you mean they came from religious sites, then you're just being predjudiced. You can't dispute the biology of the pigs digestive system or that due to it's digestive system, and because of it's digestive system, it releases more poisons into it's flesh. That's not something you can dispute. Your problem... -
ARCHIVED When It Comes To Cheese
HawkFire replied to Corkdarrr's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Perhaps you are indeed addicted to teh protein in the cheese, courtney. It has been proven with autistic children that there is a protein in dairy that they crave much to thier detriment. You would have to look into it. -

Whether or not you believe the outside condition of the animal to be clean, doesn't change the digestive system of the animal. It is true that the food is not digested well enough. It is true that the flesh of the animal contains many toxins and parasites. This is due to the digestive system of the animal. That is real. We all know that these food animals... -
ARCHIVED Cnn Special On Celiac Tomorrow ?

I used the link to Heidi Collins to write a real letter telling of our family's struggle to be dxed. I read that most letters are indeed read by paid employees, just not individually responded to. I hope that giving details about how difficult a dx was to obtain will become a focus on a future segment. I thanked her for her efforts to promote awareness... -

Open Original Shared Link I asked about Dr. Mercola in another post. Many seemed to respect his knowledge. I have here a post from his site *there are many* that condemns pork as unhealthy. If you do not find value in links from religious sites due to a conflict with the religion, perhaps you will find merit in the opinions of a man given credit as... -

Judy, is the slightest disagreement unacceptable to you? I hardly see how the postings degraded to such a state that all joy and happiness were utterly destroyed. You seem to be taking a couple of posts very hard and personally. I hope you can understand that in the natural course of conversation, disagreements, and exchanges that veer off topic can occur... -

As I stated earlier, I did not decide not to eat pork based on religious beliefs.. my own, that is. I was talking with a jewish friend about dietary restrictions due to my celiac. I also avoid dairy, sugar (mostly), msg and soy. We were talking about her diet. One thing she never eats is pork. At teh time of our discussion, I had two packages of pork... -

In contrast, David Meinz summarizes the potential health risk of eating creatures the Bible classifies as unclean. "Almost all of the creatures on the unclean list are scavengers," he notes. "In many cases they don't hunt for their own food; they eat the dead and decaying matter of our environment. A catfish does that at the bottom of a pond; lobsters and... -

Open Original Shared Link No, I believe it is current science that :surprisingly: supports!! the bible in calling pork unclean. How could they have known that the digestive system of a pig prevented it from removing toxins??? How could they have known that shellfish are the oceans vacuum cleaners? I am ill thinking of the Lobster I've eaten in my... -

Oh, I read about the tube that runs down the back of the leg to drain pus and I just could never eat it again. I read how in Pensylvania the city had an offical garbage crew... hundreds of pigs that they would let loose on the city streets. The animals would eat all the garbage including the feces of horses. Oh, boy. I read how toxins go from the stomach... -

HAHA! I'm sorry. But I came across the info about pork from a Jewish friend. I listened to all the gory details, then asked if perhaps gluten could remain in the flesh... I was very concerned for health reasons. I had heard of people feeling sensitive to poorly fed chickens. Like when the animal is fed strictly a grain diet full of gluten, the meat... -

Open Original Shared Link My beef with pork is not religious, but that is where I found the most information concerning the digestive system of the animal.. I was fearful that the toxins and perhaps gluten were in the flesh due to their digestive systems. So I eliminated it. Bad effects of pork consumption Pig's bodies contain many toxins...
