  1. Lorka, I have no idea about yeast. Can you tell me, does it cause yeast infection problems? I have done research on many products but never yeast. Sometimes when I make a loaf of bread and there is a yeast package, I consider not using it because I feel that I will encourage yeast problems in my body. Are these the same things? Thankyou
  2. Momma Goose, Spirulina and chlorella are simply algae. Little green plants. It's as if I were recommending lettuce to the poster. Without any doubt, I suggested to her two "supplements" which are very good for vegans and vegetarians to know about. The b12 alone makes them worth knowing about. Then there is the protein. You cannot find plant sources...
  3. Autumn, you need only take chlorella and spirulina. Find them at your health food store and make sure they are gluten free. Most are. They are algae. They are loaded with b12 and protein. Makes it all so simple.
  4. What we put into our mouths, be it chemical created by a pharmeceutical company or an organic vegetable, has a medicinal effect on our bodies. Do not simply consider the pills prescribed to you as medicine. Believe the truth that food is medicine. You should probably detox. Give yourself three months and begin a diet of raw foods. No cheating. I highly...
  5. kinnikinnick is very good. Though recently, I had trouble with the quality of many bread loaves. Terribly undercooked and useless. Couldn't remove the bread from the bag without it falling to crumbs. I contacted k and they reimbursed me for 9 loaves. I have since stopped ordering sandwich bread and rely instead, on their english muffins. They have cookies...
  6. Grate the potatoes, add minced garlic, fresh chopped dill, salt and pepper and one egg. Mix well. Put salmon on tin foil with a spritz of pam cooking spray. Press the potatoe mixture on top of the fish, or if you prefer, cover the fish with potatoes. Place fish with potatoes in oven safe dish. Bake for a bit, then broil for the last few minutes to crisp...
  7. I tell my sister to use chlorella and spirulina for her pregnancy related constipation. She could not believe the instant relief. There is great health benefits to using these two products as well. I have recently heard that too much flax is not good for you for some reason. I don't recall why exactly.
  8. What's more important- the feelings of well intentioned friends and family or the health of your child? It seems like an easy answer when phrased this way, doesn't it? My solution is to keep it simple. Graciously thank the well intentioned friend or family member who went the extra mile for your child. Then decline the offering with the sincerest apologies...
  9. seventh generation makes a nice biodegradable detergent that is save for the environment. I find it works great.
  10. I hope that the people who read this thread decide not to continue to ignore the MSG in their diets. Truthinlabeling.com will guide you in identifying hidden sources of MSG.
  11. Fruit by the foot is what passes for a daily serving of fruit in most american children's daily diets these days. It is something like 5 feet of chewy, sticky "fruit" pressed onto 5 feet of waxed paper. Sometimes it is stamped with food coloring in the shape of tatoos the children can press onto their skin or tounge before eating. Sometimes there are ...
  12. For myself, I found that I cannot tolerate soy at all. Removing soy has been difficult. Perhaps your child is not intolerant of soy as I am, but rather, cannot tolerate significant amounts of soy as in cheese or soy milk. Have you tried rice milk? It is quite good. I have done a little research into soy and found that it can have a large impact on your...
  13. Ok, wait a minute. Did someone just say chocolate is bad for you? I hadn't heard that before. I thought the antioxidents were good for us. I'm eating a nearly raw diet as it is. I enjoy it, thankfully. You know, I simply have to decide not to look at all the junk food I cannot have. I'm greatful that I know what I know for the sake of my children...
  14. Msg... it is what it is, it does what it does. There is no disputing the facts. I believe there is a lot of damage being done through the food supply of the united states. There is great evidence to support the suggestion that the tide is turning against the chemical food suppliers. There is great disatisfaction with the way the fda is handling things...
  15. It's a slippery slope. Do what you like. That way everyone who likes you, actually likes you- not simply likes how you are pleasing to THEM.
  16. oh, nonononono. I don't think Melinda is humble at all. About as humble as Kelley Pickler was naive and innocent! It's all an act. And a poorly executed act at that. SO over the top with the big surprised eyes and the ... it just makes me sick to think of her. Nevermind. I'm not a fan and never will be. You have to be duped into believing she's for...
  17. Well, then a little gluten shouldn't be a problem either. How about a little cigarrette? How about a little crack? I suppose if you think a little neurotoxin is ok, you're willing to make exceptions for a little bit of all sorts of stuff. I'm saying a little neurotoxin is too much.
  18. Glad I could bring back the memories! I'm very much influenced by the free thinking/spirit of the hippie generation. I spent far too long trying to conform. Now, I embrace my new found freedom to be who I am, think what I want, say what's on my mind (even if it's stupid or wrong or right or whatever! Who cares!?) and explore my real interests. I recently...
  19. Open Original Shared Link Hi, LM I'm glad you asked that! It's another of my healthy missions. Food irradiation is being touted as the savior of all things EColi, etc. However, safer farming practices and adherence to rules already established will keep us healthy. I recently watched a spokesperson for food irradiation on Today. Her demeanor couldn...
  20. Oh, I have to disagree with the "stage Presence" comment. Being cutesy and shocked and scrunching up your already barely there neck at every compliment is not the presence of a star. I prefer confidence. I'm not saying she can't sing, but her personality bugs me to no end. I like Blake and Chris messing around with their song choices and attempting to...

  22. Really, what is so special about Melinda? She's not that great at all. Her voice is not original in the least. Does anyone listen to the sound of a voice these days? So she can sing. Her voice is not unique. And I hate the cutesy girl act with the big eyes looking shocked. My children are mocking her dumb look during every show. We like Blake and...
  23. There is an interesting new trend to have gardens in your yard as opposed to lots of useless landscaping. Companies are sprouting up that "help" you begin your own yard garden. That's going to be a profitable market soon enough with the "radiation" they're approving for our veggies now. You want your carrots irradiate?! For goodness sake! When will it...
  24. We use Coconut oil in everything. Infact, I made chocolate chip cookies for the first time in forever just last night and used coconut oil. If you like mounds or almond joy candy bars, that is similar to the coconut flavor with the chocolate. Actually, it was less coconut flavored than I thought it would be. I use the coconut oil to grease my pans for...
  25. It is best to know that every time you consume MSG *(truthinlabeling.com to find the various names MSG hides behind) you kill brain cells that cannot be replaced. It is a neurotoxin. It matters.
