  1. Thanks for the reply jerseyangel. Not what I wanted to hear but a good honest answer. My main fibroid hasn't changed in size for the past 2 years, they say it is the size of a 3 month pregnancy. I realize they won't know what else is going on in there until they do the surgery, but I'm sure it's more than just a fibroid or two. I've really been trying...
  2. I found this thread from last year discussing endo, cramps and gluten. Open Original Shared Link It seems going just gluten-free didn't help most of the ladies with the monthly pain. I am wondering if cutting out dairy as well has a better outcome? I have between a week and two of cramping every month starting at ovulation (not the little sharp pain...
  3. Found this at the Glutenfreekitchen site regarding spices: Spices and Extracts - sometimes wheat flour is used in spices to prevent clumping. McCormick spices are gluten free. Extract often have alcohol that is gluten based, McCormick extracts are gluten free...
  4. Oh it is very tasty! I should clarify the reason you have to drink it fast is not because of the taste, but because it will start to gel up on you and make drinking it pretty much impossible. It's a lot cheaper than the other stuff and it works for me!
  5. This is what I use: Open Original Shared Link It doesn't taste good, you have to drink it fast, but I see now it doesn't contain gluten. The bottle lasts a long time too, maybe 2 to 3 months for me.
  6. I just found this site today that has nice long food list for gluten free and casien free foods. I think you might find it helpful. Lots of snack food ideas I hadn't thought about! Open Original Shared Link
  7. Gosh, that isn't what I wanted to hear. I had hoped the gluten-free lifestyle would make the GA go away, but maybe it is what has kept yours down to just one spot?? I've never had it to the extent of some of the people I have talked to - mine tends to show up on bony areas such as my hands and feet and my joints - elbows and knees. Some peeps have it pretty...
  8. I'm gearing up to begin a gluten/wheat/dairy free diet here within the next few weeks and had decided I would be able to eat pretty much nothing. But then I found this really nice site which lists lots and lots of foods (many available at my regular grocery store) and now I'm thinking maybe this won't be so bad after all. Hope everyone else finds...
  9. Hi Corinne, A good dermatologist could probably diagnose you pretty quickly. If you don't mind the idea of a biopsy it could confirm it and if it is Granuloma Annulare - it sometimes goes away after the biopsy for some unknown reason.
  10. Open Original Shared Link Anybody tried this combination of flours before? Anything other than pancakes?
  11. I have a lot of facial redness too, not the heat though. I never go anywhere without a good layer of foundation on as a cover up. Interesting about the mercury too. My Dad used to bring home little vials of Mercury from his work for my brother and me to play with back in the 60's and early 70's. Gosh, we loved that stuff, it was like our favorite toy...
  12. It's a rare skin disease, no cure, non- itchy (usually) - just ugly. Looks a LOT like ringworm (doctors will often misdiagnosis as ringworm). Little kids often get it and it'll go away. Adults can have it a long time. I've had it about 30 years now. There are many variants of the disease - big circles, little circles, splotches (generalized, localized, etc...
  13. I've been posting in different sections of the message board and would like to check back and see if people have replied or commented on my posts but unfortunately I can't remember where all my posts are! Is there a easy way to keep track of my own postings?? If I check 'Enable email notification of replies?' at the bottom of the post will that work...
  14. I'm new to this site and was seeing if there were any posts on positive ANA tests and I see there are! I had this test about 4 months ago after I went to my primary doctor asking for some bloodwork to find out why I was having chronic headaches, was so fatigued and not loosing weight (thought I was Hypothyroid). The ANA came back positive 160 speckled pattern...
  15. The label will state "Gluten - Free"? I don't have to go through all the ingredients looking for things like edible starch or hydrolyzed wheat protein? Sorry if this questions been asked before - I'm new here. Thanks!!
  16. Hi Jesscarmel, I've been on Topamax for about 2 months now for daily migraines. I'm still getting the migraines, the side effects from the Topamax are annoying...tingling in my hands and feet, forgetfullness, moodiness as I upped my dosage to 200 mg (have since cut back down to 150), periods of hyperness and loss of appetite which didn't last (drats...
  17. At 47 I'm still dealing with acne which seemed to get worse after I had my daughter who's almost 18 now. I did have pretty bad acne as a teenager, but had good skin throughout my 20's and 30's (but was on the BC pill most of that time too). I've tried all the folk remedies, creams and 'magic' potions. Asked my doctor for Accutane once and he gave me the...
  18. I wanted to give an update on this. After writing the above message I did file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, I wrote a letter to OHRL, I tried calling them again to no avail. I had pretty much given up hope of ever getting my money back and had decided if I did get the results I wouldn't trust them. A week ago I decided to call...
  19. I'm not a celiac disease sufferer, but joined so I could post my experience with OHRL. On August 1st I ordered the finger-prick 96 food panel test, $379. was charged to my credit card. I received the blood test kit on the 15th, took my blood (not easy to get enough blood from just 1 finger prick!) and mailed my kit back within a day. On Sept. 17, I emailed...
