This cracked me up.......had to share. Nuff said
"The Washcloth"
Ladies this has to be read, laughed at and passed on. There is not a
woman alive today who won't crack up over this!
I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week.
Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell
me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am.
I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already
around 8:45am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have
any time to spare.
As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene
when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make
the full effort.
So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that
was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that area to
make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes
basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my
appointment.
I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in.
Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the table,
looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris
or some other place a million miles away. I was a little surprised when the
doctor said, "My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven't
we?" I didn't respond.
After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home.
The rest of the day was normal ... Some shopping, cleaning, cooking.
After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out
from the bathroom, "Mommy, where's my washcloth?"
I told her to get another one from the cupboard.
She replied, "No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all
my glitter and sparkles saved inside it."
Never going back to that doctor. Ever.

I believe that many of us are FORCED into a type/form of orthorexia. We, in order to stay healthy, MUST worry about our foods. I don't think that we are to the extreme of what it is defined as. We aren't really making a choice to eat "healthy" we HAVE to avoid gluten to stay alive ( I know a bit dramatic). Do we think about food all day? (Hopefully not) Do you think about food when a meal time rolls around (yep, have to). Doesn't seem too out of the ordinary to me.
When I read the definition on that website in the 1st post, I really do not see many of us totally fitting into that category. I see some of the board members, but not very many. A handfull of folks maybe at the most. Even some of them have intollerances to other foods that force them to leave them out of their diet, just like we leave out gluten.
If you or anyone feels that they truely fall into the category of a person with orthorexia then definately talk to someone about it. It isn't anything to be ashamed of, or feel threatened by. The first step is always realizing that we have a problem and then figuring out how to fix it
Good luck with your journey and keep us posted.

OMG that is so funny......
Answer the phone during Grey's? are you KIDDING?
EVeryone knows not to call during that time and if they do, I return calls at the commercials, so we are on 3-minute max phone call
I am so glad.....we've still got more than an hour to go here and I really thought I was going to be annoyed and mad at this week's episode - - of COURSE meredith can't die.....and this new spinoff?? WHAT???? forcing me to follow another show?
NO! I want Addison to stay!
so maybe she is the one who'll die? anywho Thursday is the big night here, ha ha.......because it's Men in Trees after that......woo-hoo!
okay so let's chat about it tomorrow, shall we?
Ok, it's tomorrow and I really just can't wait any longer
WOW........good episode. I was so glad that Meredith didn't die!! Show wouldn't have been the same without her.
Now that her mom has died, I do believe she will have some issues with all of that. She was the sole caretaker of her mom for a long time. Some people sort of make that part of their identity, and when it is gone they REALLY struggle. Possibly Meredith will do the same.
Christina's retail therapy cracked me up. "You can buy furniture for 99cents!!" Her character really had a great breakthrough also. Loved that part where she came in the room (brought tears to my eyes). She struggles so much with emotion and the episode had her FILLED with emotions.
I can NOT believe Addison and McSteamy are going to give it a go. He will SO not last the 90 days without nookie.....geez lol

I just tried Whole Foods frozen pizza crusts. I can't believe I waited this long. They were pretty good. Much cheaper than the Foods by George ones that I've been buying. Eventually I'm going to make my own crusts.
So now, I'm ready to become a pizza gourmet. Any pizza gourmet's out there? What are your favorite toppings? I have some homemade spinach, walnut basil pesto. Any ideas for what to add to that on a pizza?
Oh, I could make BBQ chicken pizza.
Hormel Peperoni
Mushrooms
Onions
Green Pepper
Hamburger
Contadina Sauce
Tons of Cheese
MMMMMmmmmm Good stuff!!

I don't think Meredith will die. She can't it's Grey's Anatomy haha I think Denny and the bomb guy will send her back, and tell her she hasn't really died yet. She has to fight to stay alive. Maybe she will have some temporary wierdness and then be back to her normal self.
Not sure what will happen to her mother. If she dies, that also kills a part of the show, Meredith really has always had that struggle BECAUSE of her mom. Hummmmmmm
What about the pregnant lady that Alex saved.......what a turning point for his character. I wonder if it will turn out to be someone he knows. Maybe just a person to show that he has a heart.
Lots to find out tonight!! I can't wait!

Hi, my name is Jessica, and I am a Grey's Anatomy Addict!!
Ok......what do you think is going to happen tomorrow night? Will Meredith kick the bucket?
Also, found this article that looks pretty interesting. Seems that they are in the works of writing a spin-off for Addison. Not so sure about this.......
LOS ANGELES - It looks like -
A lady who posted on here (about the time idol season started), said her nephew is Sundance Head. I was hoping he was celiac and would make it big and help bring awareness for us

My girlfriend recently started a gluten-free diet and I'm looking to make chocolate fondue for her for Valentine's Day. Since I'm running short on time, I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with a recipe or point me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Cassidy! I will be driving, so I know that means I can take a lot more stuff. I am mainly worred about the overnight stay with the whole wedding party. They are ordering Pizza that night, and making pancakes the next morning...and I just don't want to be a pain in the @ss, you know? Normally, I would be all over "my gluten free rights" but this is my sisters wedding, and there will already be drama, so I want to keep my food issues to myself as much as I can, you know??
I think I will pack lots of fruit, nuts, stuff like that.....ug, so not looking forward to this.
OH! And you know how "they" say to eat before an event where you are pretty sure there won't be lots of gluten-free food? Well, that would be the wedding party, but I can't eat before, unless it is something I pack! So, that is a bit worrisome...
Sounds like you will be in a location where there are facilities to cook (you said they are making pancakes). Pancakes take eggs........soooo offer to scramble eggs for the whole group. That would go great with their pancakes and would be a great breakfast for you.
Peanutbutter is also very filling. A big spoonfull and you will be set for several hours.
Since you are driving, canned foods would be a good option. A big can of refried beans (not sure how beans are on the carb counting stuff
) and maybe some tortilla chips. Again, I am sure the tortilla chips aren't good for carbs, but it IS food
Hormel makes tamalies that come in a can. They are easily warmed in the microwave and make a good quick meal.
Hormel also has some shelf stable heat and eat type meals that are gluten free. Here is the list from their site: HORMEL

I say why risk it?? Throw the old containers in the trash, garage sale box, or goodwill and forget it. Buy some new ones and then you will not be wondering if "that old flour container" glutened you.

I'm not sure what they are called everywhere. Around here they're called Samoas, I think they are also called Caramel Delights.
I'm trying to recreate them.
My rememberance is they are shortbread with a caramel, then coconut then chocolate.
Are Kraft Caramels gluten free? Or should I try to make my own caramels.
My plan was to make shortbread cookies, dip in caramel, top with coconut, then dip in chocolate.
Thoughts?
THANKS!
Probably toast the coconut........
Ok googled Samoa Recipe and came up with quite a few.....you might check that out. Mmmmm now I am hungry for these cookies! ha

It doesn't taste good, you have to drink it fast, but I see now it doesn't contain gluten. The bottle lasts a long time too, maybe 2 to 3 months for me.
You make it sound so tasty!?!
Thanks for the info

Citrucel is also gluten-free according to their website.
Does CITRUCEL -
Well I guess I'll begin answering my own question
Here is some info from the metamucil website :
QuestionDoes Metamucil contain gluten?
Answer
You'll be happy to know Metamucil powder and capsules are gluten-free. Metamucil Wafers contain gluten because of the wheat flour in them.

Malt is definately out. Most of the common brands found in stores contain malt flavoring. Kellogs and such are not safe.
I buy Nature's Path. They clearly list any gluten containing ingredients. They are the makers of the envirokidz cereals also that are very yummy.
Also rice in meatballs is good.
