  1. Dad got bottles of their sauces for fathers day (part of a bbq basket type thing). I was just curious if their prepacked stuff was safe.......they have a rub for steak that "looks" ok, but with their info they are presenting I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft. pole. -Jessica
  2. Right....it lists wheat....but does not include ALL forms of gluten (rye, barley and oats). Since that isn't part of the labeling law you still need to check on the status of the ingredients. So that is what I was "attempting" to do, but like you said, I got an idiot My 2nd problem with their labeling is that it says ALLERGENS:wheat, but up in the...
  3. I wrote to Famous Daves BBQ because my dad got a TON of their sauces for Fathers Day. He was wanting to know if I could eat them. Here is the exchange that I had with them: They wrote back: I didn't feel that this was a very good answer....especially since labeling laws are in effect now (they at LEAST have to disclose the top...
  4. You can also take a lukewarm bath (NOT cold, I repeat NOT cold. Cold causes shivering and shivering increases your core temp.). It helps to draw some of the heat out and will make you a little more comefortable. -Jessica

  15. I understand totally. I went to a couple local meetings before I moved. It was good to get to see other people with celiac. However, I was amazed at some of the ingnorance of some of the people. They would eat the dumbest things, and do the stupidest things. They did not keep up with research and safe products. I was amazed. At each meeting there were...

Your "loved" one sounds very inconsiderate!! What a Jerk! I agree with Richard. This is a make or break in your relationship. What happens if you get really sick, is this mean guy going to be there for you? Doesn't sound like it! Sounds like it is time to sit down and have a big heart to heart with Mr. Inconsiderate. Tell him that Celiac is something...
  21. Well you may want to check out the link I posted and see if any of your symptoms match those of hemorrhoids. Good luck. Open Original Shared Link -Jessica

  24. It sounds like they have grounds to be tested. Each person with celiac disease does not have the same symptoms. Some people are asymptomatic and have NO symptoms. It sounds to me like the little boy has the distended belly, muscle wasting and wasting buttocks. Which are large symptoms for a child. He has a large appetite which is getting him no where (not...
  25. The patty is still listed on their gluten free list. You are fine. I'm sure they are just taking the bun into account on their allergen list as buns have wheat You may want to use the gluten free list in the future. Open Original Shared Link -Jessica
