  1. Man I had this slight itch that I thought was due to shaving and hair growth, but it just never went away, so I treated it with over the counter stuff just to be sure, and it went away for about a week and then it just comes back and it's so damn annoying. Now I read that people with low immunities and malnutrition (YA THAT'S ME with my B12 and Iron deficiency...
  2. No I have not had my thyroid checked, at least not recently. I have had it checked several times in the past and I've never "supposably" had thyroid issues. Yah I'm sure it's under 800 cals. I don't drink ANYTHING but water, and IMO nutrasweet is worse then sugar, so I won't drink diet soda. I don't actually eat a lot of protein I mostly eat fruits...
  3. Paulina, My motabolism is so screwed up from having Celiac, Pernicious Anemia, and Narcolepsy that I can't eat more then 800 calories a day or I gain really fast. I gained the last 20 on less then 1000 calories a day and I gained it in a couple of months. That's way too fast and too much!! I'm eating better foods now, but if I don't keep it to 800 or less...
  4. Ok so I've been seriously dieting for almost 3 weeks now and have only lost 5 pds UG!! I eat less then 800 calories a day and only eat fresh fruits, veggies, and low fat meats. I'm STARVING over here and I just can't figure out how I'm going to be able to continue this. I still have at least 27 pds to lose, so how in the world can I do that when I'm constantly...
  5. Yah I got into something too. Both of my sides have been rediculously sore for a few days and I haven't eaten anything different. I'm beginning to think I may not be able to handle any gluten products at all. Up until this point I have been using the same pans, tupperware and everything and I haven't had a problem, but now I'm beginning to wonder if I have...
  6. I wanted to add my weight loss ticker hehe. It probably won't show up but I had to try lol!!
  7. I had weight gain too but when I went gluten free I gained another 20 pds, so you are lucky that gluten free helped you lose weight. I'm now being very strict and I've only lost 5 pds in almost 3 weeks UG!! I guess I should be happy though that I'm finally taking it off the right way. Maybe it will stay off now lol!! Good Luck and I hope you get some answers...
  8. My GI specialist did admit that he is not a "Celiac Expert" he said that if he was then he may have seen another case like this, but he says he's seen many patients with Celiac but he's never seen any that have another rare autoimmune difficiency. I explained to him that one of the symptoms of Celiac is actually B12 deficiency (from what I have read) and...
  9. Well they think the rash on her cheek and nose is due to the sun, but I disagree. Last year they thought it was sun too so we tried sunblock and it just stayed the same so then we eliminated all sunblock trying to get it to go away and that didn't make a difference either, so then we went back to sunblock, and it was still there. They have agreed that a biopsy...
  10. I had a positive blood test while on Gluten, but was faced with the same decision. I couldn't even get to the specialist for almost a month and then I still had to wait a couple of weeks for the biopsy. I tried to stay on Gluten but I have 4 kids, work 50+ hours a week, and I volunteer a lot, so being so sick really took a toll on me. I had been rushed to...
  11. Well I just called her dermatologist back and they want to see her today at 2:45 EST, so they can actually see the rash this time lol!! I've been putting eczema cream on it because my kids tend to have eczema, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I'm sure they are going to say that it's Eczema, but I'm not convinced because it doesn't present itself at times...
  12. I think I'm going to get my daughter tested. She tested negative on the biopsy and immunities blood test, but she has a ton of Celiac symptoms, so I think it would be wise to get the genetic test. If she comes back with both of the genes, then I would KNOW she has Celiac due to symptoms, and if she had one gene I would still feel strongly about her having...
  13. Ok I'm sure my daughter has Celiac. Her stools indicate it and she has a rash consistant with DH. Right now she has a rash accross part of her nose and one cheek under her eye. It just won't go away. She's had it for almost two weeks and it gets worse on some days and better on others. She has tested negative with the blood test and the biopsy, but I'm 1...
  14. Man am I frustrated. I've been seriously dieting for almost 3 weeks now and I've only lost 3pds. I should have lost the initial 7-10 by now, but NOPE nada. I only eat fruits, veggies and chicken, and I don't CHEAT at all. I consume less then 800 calories on most days and I have been exercising too, and I still can't lose anything. I'm afraid Celiac, Pernicious...
  15. Yup I get them too and I also get the mouth sores. My mouth sores are much better now that I am gluten free, but I still do get the blood blisters from time to time. Interestingly enough I just found out I have pernicious anemia so I'm severely B12 deficient, and so the vitamin deficiency thing may have something to do with it. Mine don't go away that fast...
  16. Ok I know it's been a while since I've been here, but I had two deaths in my family, a neighborhood house burned down, one of my sons friends had to be rushed in for cancer again, I transfered my son to a new school, and we enrolled ourselves in way too many sports this spring lol!! There's more, but I wouldn't want to bore anyone lol!! I went to the GI...
  17. Yah I have their sweet and sour sauce too and it's yummy. I love their Soy Sauce, but their Teriaki sauce is terrible (in my opinion)!! LaChoy is the only brand I can find in any of my local supermarkets that is gluten free.
  18. I'm not in the UK I'm in the US, but if they are gluten free then I am definitely sensitive to something else in them. I just woke up a while ago with this amazing pain in my side. It felt like my entire side was swollen inside. I've been having gas, and It still feels swollen. The only other explanation would be that I had a cyst on my ovary and it burst...

    ARCHIVED Omg.....

Oh my goodness you are too funny!! I have thought the same exact thing lol!! I even bought a rice crust pizza once (BLA GAG ME) I paid over $8 for the thing and it was so bad that I couldn't even get one bite down. I even added extra cheese and pepperoni, but it was still the most discusting thing I had tasted in a long time. I just can't afford to spend...
  20. I've been eating the caramel ones and according to the ingredient list they are ok, but I've been having some mysterious symptoms. My symptoms had started to subside and last night and today I ate a bunch more, so if I get really sore again in the next few days then I'll know that I can't trust them. Right now I'm aching pretty badly and yesterday (before...
  21. Many doctors are misinformed about FTT even those treating adults. When I first told my primary care doctor I wanted to be tested for Celiac, he said sure, but he never thought that was a possibility because he was told that you had to have chronic diarrheal and be losing tons of weight from malnutrition. Through my research I've found that there are a lot...
  22. Thanks everyone. I've been having some strange constant aching in my right side and LaChoy soy sauce is one of the things that I have been eating that is different then normal. I also have been eating cadburry caramel eggs and those could be the culprit. The other possibility is that I have another cyst on my ovary. I used to be able to tell when I had a...
  23. I know that the Caramel Color is in question but I called their 1-800 number and they claim to list all ingredients for allergies on their list. The only thing is that they do not list gluten as one of their allergens (they do list wheat though). They also list all allergies in bold letters at the end of the label and it only says CONTAINS SOY!! My question...
  24. Ok so I know you guys probably can't tell by the endoscopy pics alone, but the doctor said there was some unusual irritation and there were these little bumps that he was suspicious of. We should have the official results of the microscope analysis within 3-4 days!! Any opinions? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/mom2...raEndoscopy.webp
  25. EEK wooden spoons give me the heebie jeebies lol!! I just had to reply because when I was a child my mother used to whip me over the butt with wooden spoons and they send shivers up my spine to this day. I WILL NOT use them they just give me the creeps. When they started breaking on her I would laugh and she started using those plastic spatulas (can I say...
