  1. This is what two of the sites say about them... "They are very good with small children and even babies. There have been reports of Klee Kai watching the baby in the house then going out to get the parent when the baby cried. There have been reports of the Alaskan Klee Kai who lived when they should have been dead." Open Original Shared Link ...
  2. I absolutely love husky's and german shephards but they are too big for my house lol!! So I was looking up miniature husky and miniature shephard just to see what came up and I SOOOOOOOO want one of these dogs. Anyone ever heard of them before? It figures the one dog I'd absolutely LOVE would be super RARE lol!!
  3. Congrats Liz, I'm so happy that your son is finally doing better. Isn't it amazing what eliminating gluten from one's diet can do? Man it's just the most amazing thing!! Keep us posted!!
  4. Thanks Evie, I've actually been gluten free for about a month, but my daughter has to continue eating Gluten until her Endoscopy at the end of the month. I haven't had mouth sores since going gluten free (except for one tiny one when I was accidentally glutened)!! Hopefully I won't EVER get them that bad again!!
  5. I used to get horrible mouth sores I actually call them "craters" because they are the biggest baddest mouth sores I have ever laid eyes on. My daughter also gets them and they often think it's hand, mouth and foot disease, but she never gets any hand or foot stuff and none of the kids in day care catch it, so we know it's Celiac. The ones we get are way...
  6. Here is some more information I found, but I DO NOT know how reliable this source is!! "Endomysial antibodies and anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies are highly reliable in diagnosing celiac disease. An individual with abnormally elevated endomysial and anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies has a greater than 95% chance of having celiac disease...
  7. In my reading this is not completely true. I know that there is one test that does not give false positives, but it really depends on how the person was diagnosed. There is one of the Celiac panel tests that (if it comes back positive alone) has a much higher rate of false positives, because it can come back high due to wheat allergies. If the entire panel...
  8. Suzy, I only read your post so I have no idea what information was given out above, but I got rushed to the hospital before I got tested and the doctor suggested I check out Porphyria. It's also an autoimmune difficiency disease, but it's simpler to test for. I'm not saying I think you have it, but it's worth researching. Good Luck and I hope you get your...
  9. LOL Laurie, before I found out about Celiac I would have done the same thing. I am 34, but could never stand wheat bread, and I had no clue that white bread or my crackers were made out of wheat (I did know that wheat thins were made of wheat though lol). I just never looked at the lables for that. I've read a lot of lables in my time too but I always looked...
  10. Thank you everyone for your encouraging answers and thoughts. I'm so glad I fianlly know what I'm up against and the diet is working very well for me so far. My entire household is beginning to change for the better. Thank you so much to everyone here who has helped me through my panic stages. I really wish everyone could get a diagnosis as easily as...
  11. Well if you are talking to me you are welcome to give advise if you want, but I do have to warn you lol!! I have had weight issues for years and because of my celiac messing up my motabolism (from starving myself in sickness to gorging because I know I'll be sick again soon) Celiac has really done a number on me. I know I need to eat smaller better balanced...
  12. I'm still not losing and all I have eaten today is two necterines and 3 kiwi (all were very small fruit)!! I'm starved all the time and hardly eat, and I still gain UG!! Oh well at least I feel better right? Good Luck, and hopefully I'll start losing soon too!!
  13. My right foot and lower leg were doing that to the point of where I was losing feeling in them and I couldn't keep my balance and stuff. Then it started moving into my right hand, and now when I get accidentally glutened one finger tip on my left hand pricks constantly (it's so annoying lol). It was mostly on one side, but numbness and tingling in limbs are...
  14. Hmmmmmm I don't get how a biopsy can be suggestive of celiac? Isn't a positive a definite positive? Maybe it was negative, but he saw signs that there had been damage there? I'd be confused to. Are you still on gluten? If not then chances are that your blood tests would come back perfectly normal. Good Luck and I really hope you get some answers soon. The...
  15. LOL It's amazing after you get off the gluten what you actually crave hehe!! I am LOVING kiwi and necterines right now. I used to just eat them on and off before, but now (since I'm limited on foods) I eat them daily and love them mmmmmmmmmm!!
  16. Well I just got my biopsy results and I definitely have Celiac Disease. It's so nice to have a confimed diagnosis. Even after being gluten free for almost 4 weeks my biopsy was positive. Here is what the letter from my doctor says. Dear Angela, The biopsy of your duodenum showed changes consistant with Celiac Sprue, although they were fairly mild...
  17. If I should happen to have leaky gut or anything like that can they see that during the endoscopy, or is it something that isn't detectable? Thanks so much everyone for your responses!!
  18. the Celiac.com list I got in my pamphlet from the doctor this week says that you can have the following margarita mixes... Jose Cuervo Mr. & Mrs. "T" I'm not sure what else is in a Margarita, but most of the fruit juices are gluten free (as far as I can tell). If you have DH you may want to be careful about the salt they use. Have fun!!
  19. Well for the average person it may not be worth it but you would be surprised at how much it would add up too. I already have to keep track of all my food because a portion of it is deductable already for my home business, so that's no big deal to me.
  20. For those with Safari (I have IE too, but my kids won't let me on it to refresh my memory) go up to the top of your Safari page and click on View and then scroll down to "make text bigger" That'll do it!! I'm a computer whiz so if you need any help with anything else just let me know. Oh and you have your capitals but have you noticed I LOVE my exclamation...
  21. I have been diligent and careful with the diet. I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. When I first found out that my blood test results were positive, I attempted to be gluten free, but I had a hard time interpreting all the ingredients so I at some things I shouldn't have. Then after about two weeks I realized that I was still eating some foods...
  22. Do any of you know if the other foods also cause damage to your intestines or is it just the gluten that causes the damage? Are there any studies on this? I have been eating other things and I'm thinking I may also be sensitive to milk and if that can also cause damage then that may be why my liver still seems sore and why I'm having other pains today. I...
  23. Mine is Monday afternoon too LOL. How weird is that !! We'll be sitting there ready to go under thinking about how the other is doing hehe!! Good Luck. I can't bring myself to eat gluten and I don't really think it would do any good after being gluten free for 4 weeks. I'm just hoping they get a positive biopsy so we have a definite answer and I don't have...
  24. Yah that's definitely the kind of situation I'm scared of. There is probably NO chance in heck at this point that my biopsy will be positive. I went gluten free about a month ago, but wasn't diligent the first two weeks and cheated off and on. The last two weeks I have been completely gluten free, but I suspect I may have had slight contaminations here and...
  25. I'm not sure about studies but almost all of the research I read states that eating gluten significantly increases your risks of other disorder and diseases associated with Celiac Disease. Here are some exaples. "The gluten-free diet must be carefully and continuously followed. When untreated, the disease can cause life-threatening complications. A delayed...
