  1. Oh sorry, thats what I meant!
  2. They are not multigrain. They are dinner rolls.
  3. OOOOHHHH!!! Honey!!! I had not thought of that! Yummy!!!
  4. I just wanted to pop in here and say I could not live without these!!! I first had them when they were served to me at a restraunt in Disney World. I had the waitress double check to make sure they were gluten free because they were that good! Now since I got home, I have been ordering them off A.M.A.Z.O.N. where they ship free. I will have to admit, I can...
  5. Like a previous poster had said, pregnancy will slow down your immune system which may be why your body is not reacting to gluten. But be very careful. Celiac is not the same as other food intolerances. While intolerances can make you feel quite ill, celiac is an autoimmune disorder that can lead to death if not treated. Please be careful for your sake and...
  6. Ok, no offense...but are you nuts! If you really do have celiac, you are doing your body an amazing amount of damage. Celiac is an auto immune disorder, not an allergy. I have celiac and I have absolutly no symptoms. I could eat an entire loaf of wheat bread and feel fine. But my blood work and intestinal biopsy says otherwise. I also am on the verge of osteoporosis...
  7. Enviro kids has gluten free peanut butter panda puffs that are fantastic.
  8. Brenda Bennett is the best contact person for Disney World food allergy dining. If you go the the disboards website and post in the disABILITIES section, you will be able to get all her contact information. My husband and I went in September and we found it an extremely accomadating place.
  9. Glutino makes a great gluten free cracker. Its just like a ritz.
  10. I am all over the Enviro kids peanut butter panda puffs. Yummy yummy! I also like Trix.
  11. Im on that EXACT pill right now. I do have celiac, and I am a completely asymptomatic celiac and this medication makes me feel terrible. So Im thinking it might just be side effects of the medication itself, bc I could eat a whole loaf of wheat bread and I wouldnt feel a thing.
  12. I would have tp personally disagree with introducing gluten to my child at a young age. There are so many studies and threads going on about how gluten in a gluten sensitive child has huge effects on thier behavior in negative ways. I would not want my child to be on gluten while at such a critical stage of personality development. Whether or not a child...
  13. Hi! Im currently pregnant and here is what we have decided to do 1. I am already gluten free, and the baby will remain so also 2. With the mounting evidence of autism and mental illness linked to celiac disease I will be keeping my baby gluten free until it is at least three years old and past the age of developing autism. Then I will introduce gluten...
  14. Yup restraunts don't usually allow it. I go to a mexican restraunt with my family and one of the only things I can order is thier queso dish. The chips are not gluten free, so I bring in a brown paper grocery sack with chips in it, and then set it on the floor by my chair and eat them. Lol. I agree and say sneak it in!
  15. The book "Beyond Ricecakes" is great EASY 'cooking' for college kids.
  16. I couldn't find anything on the menu except some sauces and a sausage patty. Could you show me where you found roast beef? Im just wondering if Im looking at the wrong part of the menu....lol
  17. I have heard on testing children, but from what I heard you are supposed to test around age 3. Autism usually shows up between ages one and three, so personally, I would like to wait until he/she is past the "danger" zone. We have four children in our close extended family with autism and three of those kids have been diagnosed as celiac's in the last year...
  18. Um...sorry I cant help you. I actually got asthma after I went gluten free.
  19. Ice cream is usually clearly labled if it contains wheat or not. Sometimes I send my husband to the store with a cell phone and have him read the ingrediants to me over the phone if he is unsure. Good luck! To the OP, Congrats on your baby! I may be totally out of line saying this, so feel free to shut me up, I was just wondering if you were going to...
  20. My parents dragged me to so many shrinks I can't even remember them all. I kept saying the same thing. "Its like I get so mad, Im out of control to myself. I cant stop screaming and yelling. You keep telling me to think before I say something, but I really can't! My brain is going a thousand miles a minute but its so foggy at the same time. The first time...
  21. The only reason my doctor tested me for Celiac was bc of reflux. I nearly fell off the chair when the test was positive!
  22. I dont work in a restraunt, but I do work with children. I have to feed them all the time, and since they are not gluten free, I have to feed them what the parents or facility has packed for the kids. Im constantly cleaning up wheat thins, crackers, and other gluteny food. The kids play with play-doh and everything. Since they are toddlers, there is always...
  23. Like I said in my previous post, I am asymptomatic and I often feel the same way. While I do feel blessed for not having to suffer years of symtoms, I often wonder the same thing, how will I know if Im getting glutened? Also, I sometimes wonder if I would have an easier time not wanting to cheat. I never do, but its tempting bc I know that even if I eat that...
  24. You would have to call the manufacturer to ask them that. It could have gluten in it, or it could be your body having a reaction to a new med. Either way, you should always call the manufacturer on a medication. Although I trust people on this board and value thier opinoins, how would we know if its gluten free? You wouldnt want to get wrong information by...
  25. Hi! Nice to meet you. I was diagnosed with celiac just over a year ago (nov 06) and have been gluten free since then. I stopped taking birth control in December, and then my period stopped. I didnt get a period for 4 months, so I went to the doc. She said sometimes stopping the pill can shock your body. She gave me some meds to jump start my period, but I...
