  1. aHHH! Do not drink beer, it is made from barley and you might as well have a real cheeseburger. It is a rumor and an old wives tale.
  2. is there any puffed rice cereal that is gluten-free???
  3. it was wimpy snow aroundhere, barely an inch. It was all melted by this morning. I was shocked when i was driving home to see someone had made a snowman! they must have taken all the snow from the entire darn block to do it lol.
  4. i use boars head, they're all gluten-free!
  5. yayyyyyyyyy i found some after a long day of searching, it was great, i'm so happy to drink something beerlike, actually, it tastes like a good beer, thanks
  6. as long as it doesn't have "flavoring", its safe, you're being paranoid. its meat, meat doesn't have gluten in it in it's pure form without any gunk on it/injected into it.i do like how people are trying to not voice their opinions on veal but keep saying baby cow. ALthough, i have to admit, i'm a paranoid celiac too bc its better safe than sorry, but you...
  7. yeah, whoever started this thread, can you please come back and clarify what exactly you are talking about bc we are all going to have a heart attack. one thing i dont like about this board is when othe rpeople talk about other things they cannot have, due to other health issues, but do not clarify, because it just confuses me and freaks me out!
  8. someone on this thread mentioned "cheating", i am sorry, if you are really a celiac, you should NOT be cheating, it is so dangerous for you, it is like you aren't gluten-free at all, it is a big step back, and you should take care of yourself and really never "cheat" on purpose! Its like intentionally hurting your body. I'm sure someone on here could find...
  9. are you all talking about not using iodized salt because you have thyroid problems? since when, is there gluten in salt? i dont mean to sound rude, i'm just dying to find out now, because, obviously, i use salt, and no one has ever mentioned salt is unsafe before....help!
  10. i have no idea where to find it in my town, but iwill be looking now lol!
  11. i was under the impression that some of the "pink stuff" was NOT gluten-free? is that true? anyone?
  12. Do either of you live in north texas? i'm a member of the ntgig, which is one of the biggest gluten intolerance groups out there, and they are so helpful with cooking/finding places to eat!
  13. are any hard ciders gluten-free???? If so, which, and where do you buy yours?
  14. hey guys, lol i'm so hungry at home right now and the weather is sucky so i cant get to a store, and ya'll have mad eme SO hungry!
  15. oh wow, thanks for posting that, although i never let anyone take anything out of my sight in a restauraunt once i have it lol that is a good tip to think about. (i used to be a waitress, and some of the things that go on in any kitchen would blow your mind, esp cc wise)
  16. welcome! I just joined too, all the veterans on this site have been SO helpful and really make things easier. Stay strong, and don't take a bite of anything, you need to get a book on celiac, or for now go to a website like webmd and make your DH read the gory details. It is life or death!
  17. i've been there, never had a problem, they're VERY good and safe! if it makes you feel better, speak with the manager, but it is a safep lace to eat, have fun and relax!
  18. With me, alot of things got better gradually, and now, almost two years after being gluten-free, I feel great, healthy, and most importantyl young again. I'm only twenty, and for probably the past five years had felt just old, not able to get out of bed, no stamina, nothing, alot of it will come back, but, it takes longer than a few weeks in most of the people...
  19. aw i'm so glad you told us, i actually have a snow day today so i'll be around to watch it instead of at school, thanks!
  20. I have sort of a backwards question, what gluten-free toothpaste does everyone on this board use, now i'm wondering if i'm stupid and i've been glutening myself with toothpaste (i'm calling the company!), I'm also the genius who about five months after going gluten-free sent out about 100 christmas cards and licked all the envelopes (that had gluten).......
  21. Some people are just whiners, (them, not you), and I think you're totally right in venting, p.s. i'm semi new on this board, and the bottom of your sig. makes me laugh so hard!
  22. I'm originally from NY where something like wet pavement does NOT get a snow day. But I woke up this morning and my university is closed over a wimpy wet sidewalk and an inch of snow on the grass, happy surprise! (I'm in TX), Anyone have any fun snow day ideas?
  23. obviously, i am no doctor, but, I projectile vomited for about my first three years of life, so bad my parents could never go out to dinner, or anything like that, ... this turned into having bad teeth during childhood and always being hungry....led to getting very sick at college, finally diagnosed celiac....so, YES it sounds familiar to me!!!! I pray your...
  24. I think you should go talk to your gyno again, the patch, i think its called nuvaring is also another option, then there are the things like an IUD or other things, better safe than sorry!
  25. I'm the same as you, never had any problems. Although, I would def. say if you are still having tummy problems one way or the other, and things are coming back for a visit sooner than they should, you should look into a different form of birth control if that is what you are using it for, good luck!
