I'm the same as Donna. The only dairy I can tolerate is ghee. That's clarified butter without the casein and I tolerate this just perfectly. A pure fruit sorbet might be a alternative treat to ice cream.

ARCHIVED The Lyme Disease Thread

Hi April. Does it say anything about Sarsaparilla or Monolaurin in Buhners book? My chiro has his own "pharmacy" and has a EAV practitioner in the office so I can test whatever he's got on hand. I tested well for the Sarsaparilla and Monolaurin. I did not test well for the ALA or Nutriferon which I hear some people take. So far... -

Hey that massage your talking about was it a Chinese abdominal massage? If so there is a tecnique called "Chi Nei Tsang" I have had this done at least a half dozen times and feels absolutly wonderful. I actually prefer this over a regular full body massage. It has helped with my severe constipation but not cured it. I stopped going just recently... -

hi Just an update. I canceled my apt with the one LLMD d/t noone ever hearing of her. I have another apt. set up with another but I'll have to wait 3 months. I was told I could bring my one dd in who is having symptoms. If she is positive, I will get the other two tested via IgeneX. My EAV meridian testing showed my body does not want to detox... -

Hi All. I feel so "out of the loop" I know major things are going on with Kasandra and Rachel. Is there a condensed version somewhere? Something about tapeworms and the rest is a fog to me because my brain won't cooperate. I've been busy researching and asking lots of questions about Lyme and trying to keep my household intact. My 6yo has got... -

Yep we have Wegmans which has variety and a local food co-op. We just don't do much processed foods. Mostly whole, natural, organic food. I like to cook from scratch if I'm feeling up to it. And avoid if possible all GMO food. Thanks for the substitutes Juliet. -

Thank you all for all the replies. Unfortunatly we don't do corn or peanuts because of mold issues and corn makes my joints so sore and creaky. Is there a substitute for the cornstarch in the first bread recipie? Also they dislike the "Food for life" brown rice tortillas they are so dry and crumbly and too chewy. I don't even like them. My two... -

Thanks BEM. Dh wouldn't have a problem doing the diet except the house is already full of gluteneous products and doesn't want to waste them, and wants to eat them up first. He did say he wouldn't give up his Ezekial sprouted bread though cuz he enjoys it so much, but the kids don't like that bread anyways. The kids love sandwiches and nothing compares... -

I'm 4 weeks into this diet for myself, ( AND DOING GOOD) but notice subtle symptoms with my kids. One dd has tummy aches when eating bread, (but not always) and when she eats bananas. She is always stuffy and congested as well. One ds has some processing issues with learning, reading. While I can't rule out celiac, I'd like to try them on the... -

celiacgirls, I pray all goes well with getting your dd the help that she needs. Birdy, Congrats on your Lyme progress and your Moms new understanding of your condition. I have a question about Humaworm with Lyme. I just ordered some myself without the psyllium cuz I just don't move when I take that stuff. It acts like a huge plug when I... -

Hi Pele. I have the same question as you do. I have a script for Cortef sitting here 5mg and I'm afraid to fill it and take it for fear of what it will do to me. I take Adrenogen by Metagenics and ADR by Pure Encapulations and don't notice much of a difference, maybe a little help with the way I handle stress but I just have this "feeling" I shouldn't... -

ditto here too. I do lots of fat and protein and still most days I could eat every hour and still not be satisfied. I eat more than my husband who's 6'1 and 200lb and I'm 5'5 at 110lb. I'm starting to wonder If I'm feeding a tape worm -
ARCHIVED Off Gluten 4 Weeks, Sleeping Great!
truthsearcher posted a topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I just wanted to share that I use to take 2 hours to fall asleep, sleep so light, that when the kids rolled over in bed in the other room, I would wake up. I would wake up at 4 am and couldn't get back to sleep. I even took Ambien for awhile but woke up after 4 hours. I was on a candida diet which helped alot but still needed a better nights rest... -

Interesting Dip. Have you done any hormonal testing? I haven't gotten into hormonal testing myself but hoping treating the Lyme will help and get my plumbing going again. I don't know how to edit but I wrote my genes down wrong. It's DQ 3,1 subtype 8,5 not what I put in my previous post. Not sure if the order matters? It's winter here in upstate... -

Thanks for the ideas about my first appointment. I was just observing that on the first day of my cycle or the day before I get the big D and get fever and chills, do you all with Lyme get this too? Sometimes I don't register a temp (It could be 98.2 and I feel like I have a fever). I normally run a 97. something but never normal anymore. Also... -

In regards to the Barrett's. My father has Barrett's for 20 years and it is very severe. One thing that really helped him was aloe juice. He uses the George's brand and found it very soothing to the stomach and helped heal the ulcer that was in his esophogus. He was told no spicy, tomato, greasy or caffine. He's been on PPI's for over 25 years and... -

Thanks for the encouragement. Do you all read on Lymenet much? That is where I got my LLMD referral, but find the forum confusing to get around. What Lyme forum do you recommend for ease in reading a getting around. You would think with all the Lyme brainy people it would be very simple. But I did bookmark many of the links recommeded here... -

I just got my gene tests results. HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis allele 1 0302 HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis allele 2 0502 Serologic eequivalent HLA-DQ 3,1 Subtype 8,5 From what the report states I carry one gene for celiac and one for gluten intolerance, is this correct? Caraline, That 190 bucks was the best 190 bucks I ever spent. It will save me loads in the future not have to buy supplements I don't need. I have my appt. sent for the first week in January to see the LLMD Dr. P. I was told they will do a hour and half exam, physical, history and order any other tests. The cost for the first visit is 180 dollars... -

A quick question here about Lyme expenses. We are having to choose new insurance. My question is how much should I expect to pay out of pocket for treatment? per year? Would treatment be covered with a indemnity plan where I have like a 2500 dollar deductable before they cover in full? not sure if this question makes sense? I guess what I'm asking... -

Ami, I too am very sorry for your loss. I had a simular experience but I was not detoxing. I miscarried after my first, I was 10 wks. Unknown to me at the time, I most definitly had my heavy metal toxicity and Lyme and a mouth full of amalgams so the Lord only knows why it happened. Be nice to yourself and I will pray your body does what naturally...
