  1. When I called them they said that they fry all of their corn products (chips & tortillas) in the same oil as flour tortillas. Be careful.
  2. Thanks for posting! I love your recipes!
  3. Actually this is exactly what you want to hear. Yoplait lists any gluten in their ingredients, so all you have to do is read. No lists to carry around or to become outdated.
  4. Me too. The fewer the ingredients, the better.
  5. THAT DOES NOT COVER BARLEY, RYE OR OATS! Wheat is a top 8 allergen so it must be disclosed, but the others do not have to be. Some companies take it upon themselves to disclose all gluten sources, but it is not a requirement and many companies do not. Natural flavors is one of the most dangerous ingredients, in my opinion.
  6. My son has been getting growing pains too. As a child I used to get UTIs all the time. Avon has a bubble bath that I could use it is supposed to be very gentle.
  7. I would get him retested, because if your child was one at the time he was too young for the test to be accurate, If you are unsatisfied with the results you could always try him on the gluten free diet no matter what the results are.
  8. That happened to me too as a kid. It was a burst eardrum...oddly enough it did not hurt at all.
  9. Yes, this is the featherlight mix. I substitute it (with the gum) in most recipes, except yeast breads. I use it for gravies, sauces, cookies, quick breads, cakes and more. I mostly use regular recipes and convert them to gluten free by using this mix, which means you can still use many of your old recipes. For recipes I go to : Open Original Shared...
  10. I'm so sorry that it did not work out. It's so disappointing when this happens, especially when it's so much work! I cannot find the recipe that I used, but I used an electric skillet. I found you a recipe on recipezaar: Open Original Shared Link Good luck!
  11. Bob's Red Mill all purpose gluten-free flour has a strong taste that I don't care for. My advise is to change your flour. I use the featherlight mix. There's no funny aftertaste! I use this in most gluten recipes and they turn out great, but sometimes you need to add a little extra flour. 1 cup white rice flour 1 cup corn starch 1 cup tapioca...
  12. You're very welcome! I'm happy to hear that you're doing better and that you're tTG is down to normal. Congratulations!
  13. Welcome! I know you probably won't believe me, but you're daughter may be much more willing to expand her diet once she goes gluten free! Prior to my son's diagnosis the only foods he would eat were poultry, gluten, dairy and bananas--that's it. Now he eats all kinds of meats and other things, but we're still working on the veggies. Perky-O's and...
  14. I have not tried their bread either, but their graham crackers are not that great.
  15. I think it's best to get your blood work redone after 6-12 months. If you want genetic testing done I would go through Enterolab, it's pretty cheap as far as lab work goes--only $150. This way only you know the results. Open Original Shared Link
  16. I was so excited when I came across these! They are from outside the bread box, a company based in Colorado. I bought a package for $7 at a local store, and I went to their website and was pleasantly surprised to see that they are only $5 a package. I think I'm going to order a few packages. They are delicious and worth every penny. Now if they would...
  17. I make my own flour mix that I use in pretty much everything, except yeast bread. I think it's the feather light mix, but I'm nut sure. 1 cup corn starch 1 cup rice flour 1 cup tapioca flour 1 TBSP potato flour (I suspect this is optional. When I run out I'm not buying more.)
  18. My son, who has celiac disease, had mucous in his stools. Since starting the gluten free diet it has disappeared.
  19. Does anyone have any info about other coffee places? Dutch Brothers? Seattle's Best?
  20. I voted! We're beating the pet magazine 36% to 31%!
  21. Thanks for the tip!
  22. Ok guys...you convinced me. I'm leaving my house in 15 minutes to get a membership. I could use the eggs, every gluten free bread type recipe calls for 4 eggs!
  23. Those recipes sound great. What butterscotch chips do you use? I thought Nestle butterscotch chips contained barley?
  24. Thank you for posting. When I initially called them they did not tell me their vanilla bean frappuccino contained gluten. That's too bad. My son loves the strawberries and cream blended frappuccino. Now I will have to worry about cc--even in places without the malt/chocolate chips.

    ARCHIVED Costco

For a while my son was having some "bathroom issues" and I was racking my brain for any possible causes. I was concerned about the scents and additives containing gluten. It's not THAT strange. Others recently posted that Palmolive won't confirm or deny gluten in their products.
