  1. Great. We use Palmolive. I thought that I read somewhere a long time ago that it was gluten free. I will be switching. I do use All laundry detergent. Thanks for the information. I don't know what I'd do without you guys.
  2. Thanks for posting, but I really feel that the Kroger list is a joke. They only put things on there that are obviously gluten free. Like the list I had under popcorn, they only listed the kernels. They have so many more gluten free products than what they list. It's ridiculous. I refuse to buy Kroger brand products, even though I shop there all the time...

  5. Could she be getting gluten from toiletries, yours, hers or from grandparents. My son was getting glutened from his Zooth/Oral-B toothpaste. (They make a lot of the character toothpastes.) Are the soaps gluten free? What about every one's lotions and haircare products?
  6. I like to shop at Linens and Things because they are moderately priced. I bought Farberware baking pans and sheets and I like them. They are much heavier in weight than cheap pans, but they are not really expensive. Linens and Things also have sales often. I got my bake ware buy one get one free!

  8. We got the full celiac panel, seasonal allergies, and food allergies done on my son. The cost was $460. We have a $500 deductible, but when we got the bill it was $360 because of the insurance-hospital agreement. Most hospitals will work out a payment plan with you (especially after making small payments consistently for a couple months ).

What I do is search on recipe sites for ideas, or I try to re-create our favorite gluten dishes. I like to go to "copy-cat" sites too. The recipes may not be exact duplicates but many times they are close...

  17. I usually buy Walmart brand powdered sugar, it says gluten free on the label. I also buy the whipping cream in the carton to whip myself.

  20. We bought one because my son is the only one diagnosed so far. I plan on buying a bigger one eventually because everything we make is gluten free anyway. I melted our lid too!
  21. Your BEST bet is to stick with companies that will not hide their gluten in vague ingredients. I will post a link to those companies. You should call these companies yourself.   24. I don't know about their production, but the ingredients look fine. My son eats them, and we even make muddy buddies out of them. Not all of their cereals are gluten free, so always read the labels.
  25. My son gets bumpy, flaky, itchy skin behind his ears also. It responds to Elidel (sp?), which is an eczema medication. Maybe you could get some samples from your doctor to see if it helps.
