    by the way, where in alberta are you from?? i used to live in sherwood park outside of edmonton when i was a kid im in chicago now, but i would love to bring my kids up . i always remember how beautiful it was up there

    i too thought fries at micky d was ok until i checked thier web site and they no longer list them as gluten free. ive had them a couple of times this month without any problems . sorry to hear your feeling bad i hope it passes fast

    anyone aware of a support group or any new info on restaurants in the lake county area. i know the whole foods in palatine does meetings but thats a pretty good cruise from beach park.

    its been a week or two since my post and ive only had a bag of original lays twice with no problems so im still confused . i dont know if it was cc or something else. it sure is interesting to see others possibly having the same issues though..

    i was looking into taking the kids to disney in orlando and i was wondering if staying at a disney resort instead of off grounds was the way to go as far as meals. ive read many posts on the disney subject so i know they are glutten friendly.but not sure which disney resorts are the best to stay at? or are they all accomodating?

    thanks for asking that question , i am going thru the same damn thing. its been driving me crazy. ive tried to give up dairy ,but i always seem to cheat.im kinda still pissed at giving up just about every good junk food i like.im 1 month in and it seems i feel glutened about every 3 or 4 days. hope you feel better soon

    as far as i know fruity pebbles and coco pebbles are safe to eat ,there are a few more hand in there someone will post a better list im still too new at this

    probably a good idea i also gave up diet pop i used to drink at least 12 pack a day now im down to 2 or 3 im slowly giving them up. i would go cold turkey but i tried it before and got wicked headaches, so ill do it in stages. ...

    my wife just bought me one called "breadman pro" she got it at ace hardware for $55.00 it was on clearance. i love it, it makes loaves from 1 pound to 2 pound and makes horizontal loaves. i also use the "gluten free pantry" sandwich bread mix, it tastes great all the frozen stuff is crap. good luck

    doing the gluten-free thing and i think its going o k but not great. my first week gluten-free was great but the last 3 or 4 weeks i cant shake the EXTREME GAS my wife and coworkers are getting pissed at me.my bowel movements have improved from big d all the time to somewhat soft ,so i know im doing something right but im still not there yet , i really try...

    i was reading the label on the blue cheese dressing from kraft and didnt see anything that looked evil, but i thought i read that blue cheese was a no no. any help would be great

    i was diagnosed in feb-07 but i had a wicked case of vertigo about 2 years ago , it lasted about 5 days . it was so bad i couldnt get out of bed at all. i never felt anything like that in my life , i was miserable. my gp said i caught a virus ,but ive seen a few posts about vertigo. is it possible it was caused by my undiagnosed celiac at the time??just want...

    i have a cousin who lives in Edmonton who is a nurse i will try to call her to see if she has any ideas, she seems to be pretty up on the whole celiac thing. ill try to post in the next few days. i used to live in Sherwood Park just outside Edmonton and plan on going back one of these days, so i hope you get lots of responses.. good luck

    thanks for all of the advice.im pretty sure the lays chips are probably a culprit of some sort, so i guess ill lay off of them. no pun untended lol.. as far as the diet cola everyone of you are right its very hypocritical of me to cut out gluten to heal my body only to polute it with a different toxin.its like smoking though i am dependent on it ive been...

    been gluten free for a little under 4 weeks, the first 2 weeks i felt the best ive felt in 20 some years. actualy had regular trips to the bathroom no wicked D.now the last 5 or 6 days i feel like i did before going gluten-free.constant D and gas . my typical day is vans gluten-free waffles for breakfast with jam and a bag of almonds from the quicky mart...

    hey all , my name is rob im in Beach Park, which is far notheast border a few miles from Wisconsin border. its nice to know there are other celiac/ gluten free peolple out there i was starting to think i was the only one, i cant make it to palatine rd whole foods meeting this week but if some one could post some info on the next meeting that would be great...

    ive been on the diet for a little over 3 weeks and i can honestly tell you i haven"t felt this good in at least 20 years, i too had the same symptoms horrible gas and the big D all the time , never had solid stool. my wife and co-workers actualy made me go to gi doc, i absolutly suggest you go and get tested. you owe it to your self .my blood test came back...
