  1. at my church they keep the low gluten host in the freezer and when i get to church i tell the father or deacon im here and they get one and put it on a separate tray, plus i usally try to sit in the first few rows as to get mine out of the way quicker. i have had no issues so far... good luck on your wedding
  2. ok thanks i was wondering because ive read some posts that people order the potato without butter ive even seen it on a few companys websites "order w/o butter" and just wasnt sure. gotta have butter on a potato

  5. is it just a dairy thing or is there actually gluten in the butter??? ive had it before and not been sick..ive read in a few posts that butter is not safe,what gives???

    that is cool to hear that your husband said something. im the celiac in the family and i have to admit i usaually just order no bun i dont specify gluten free, but my wife also usually has no problem letting the server or manager know about gluten-free. i just hate making a big deal out of going to dinner.man am i lucky to have her

  10. thats so awesome that you had a great meal, ive posted the web site on a few posts to get the word out , but i still havnt been there. i am really looking forward to getting there, but with both of my kids in baseball and softball we dont have a free night until july.you say the pizza is good???
  11. my wife and i were in our friends wedding in montego bay and stayed at sandlas resort. we had a blast very friendly staff, always had something to do ,lots of activities.this was before gluten-free too , but i recommened staying there for the fun. we stayed at a different resort for our honeymoon in ocho rios and it wasnt as good as sandals. have fun if you...

  15. thanks for the heads up barbara. i am a lot like you as i still eat out quite often im just selective on where and what i order.i think im on the lucky side as far as symptoms goes.i only get really bad gas and D, not like thats not bad .but some on the forum my heart goes out to them with some of the extreme symptoms...by the way where is middleton is it...
  16. ive only been gluten free since march and hell yes i think about cheating just about every day ... but i dont!!!!just to be able to down 3 or4 beers with my buddies after golf would be awesome.hang in there you are not alone.

  18. i think there is also a pf changs at woodfield mall and a maggianos who will do gluten free, im about an hour north of there so i have not tried either. its good to hear you found a new place to try. how did you like gameworks? , i took my seven year old there a few months back and had a blast..
  19. when i first found gluten free beer at the local liqour store the owner let me buy individual bottles of redbridge, bard tale, and new grist. i liked new grist better for the first few weeks, but now i find myself going for the redbridge. i suppose ill keep the new grist to boil bratwurst in. beer brats are the best

  22. i use the "gluten free pantry" brand white bread mix, its about as close to the real thing your going to get. the frozen stuff at whole foods is horrible imho.i use a bread maker and use the 2lb mix or you can make a 1lb and halve the ingrediants.the stuff at whole foods tastes pretty good as french toast for breakfast though...good luck finding...

DONT KNOW WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED THERE, but cmom i feel your pain im a 37 year old male who has been at least 50lbs overweight since jr high, i was dx in feb , went gluten-free in march and told my wife cool ill lose weight for sure. no more snacking on cookies etc... but ive gained another 10lbs in the last 2 months.im lost on what i need to do.
