    ARCHIVED Diagnosis

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! You know, I forget everything already and I'm only 23. How's everyone going to be able to tell when I get old if I have Alzheimer's? There won't be any difference!
  2. Try the flourless recipe 1 egg 1 cup PB 1 cup sugar bake little ones for ten minutes. I'm gonna try them with honey instead of sugar sometime soon, see what happens.
  3. I did the impossible cheesburger pie, it was really good. There's a recipe for it on Bob's Red Mill website using BRM biscuit mix. I think I'll use a little less fluid and one less egg next time though, there was way too much poofy biscuit on top and it was too light.
  4. I did something similar. When I added more eggs, avocado, raw milk (won't work for the casein intolerant), and raw cheese, I started feeling less hungry all the time and actually gained some weight. But stress DOES burn calories mondo big-time, I only gained my last ten pounds AFTER a great deal of stress was lifted from me, maybe you could try yoga and eat...
  5. Has anyone had any cross contamination issues with these kinds of rice products from asian companies/stores? I bought rice noodle sat Whole Foods that were much cheaper, but don't say anything about whether glutenis in the same factory or whatever.
  6. MEatloaf is easy and cheap, there are recipes that use rice. I like scrambled eggs with diced avocados and salsa, but you said eggs don't always agree with you. If you're doing raw eggs, put em in a blender with something sweet. Also, get those big containers of plain yogurt (cheaper) and add fruit like frozen cherries or sliced banana and add honey if you...
  7. Huh, I'm 5'7'' and my shoes are size 7 1/2. Little feet run in my family though.
  8. Oh, my symptoms are absolutely horrid and last for about a month if it's not the smallest ittiest bittiest speck of gluten (Lay's chips are BAD), but even with the smallest amounts it lasts at least week. It just is delayed in me for about two days, very wierd......
  9. somebody in "Coping With" said they reacted to Pacific, might wanna check that out.
  10. Um, last I checked polenta wasn't the same as cornmeal, do you use straight dry cornmeal or prepared polenta that comes in water?
  11. I would think amaranth or sorghum would be the best soy subs. Maybe a white bean flour? It's not much though, for that small amount you could use almost anything.
  12. I've made pasta salad a number of times with Tinkyada (or teekiyaka as my mother calls it) and I have always used mayonnaise in my pasta salads, and I've always had wonderful results. I usually just throw some peas, tuna or salmon, maybe little chunks of cheese, and pasta in a bowl, and add Hellmans which says gluten-free right on the label whoohoo!!!!! And...
  13. Bring him a pancake! Kinda, win him over, you know? I like pancake cream cheese/honey sammiches, myself..... Might be a little too outlandish.
  14. If they never gave you a problem before, how do you know that's what it is? I've had trouble figuring out low-grade glutenings (I react less the less gluten there is) before, because my symptoms are so delayed, any tips or tricks people use are welcome.
  15. It figures, I'm tall for a woman (5'7'') well, I look taller because I have broad shoulders and I'm thin, but my boyfriend is 6'5''. Of course I couldn't date a normal guy, I have to fall in love with the Jolly Green Giant. It's ok, I just stand one stair up or on the bed to hug him proper! Doesn't really affect anything else... ;) nudge nudge.....
  16. That's interesting, I thought WF gluten-free bakehouse rolls were blehh. Go figure. They weren't awful, but I certainly wouldn't spend mone on them when I can make Chebe rolls!
  17. If they can't have all-gluten-free pancakes (and the normal griddles and turners still wouldn't be safe, by the way) and your daughter isn't thrilled at the idea of Mom crashing the party you could always sneak in the back and 'supervise' the principal and then sneak back around front to pick her up for the rehearsal.
  18. I'm 5'7''. Sorry. My mom's short!
  19. I make large flat round bun-type things and cut them in half into burger buns, I haven't had a burger bun in three years, I almost cried they were so good!
  20. You might try getting more raw olive oil and coconut oil and eating a lot of avocados. I had trouble putting weight back on as well, it started coming back as I stopped being stressed over a number of things, including getting the diet right. Stress is my major weight gain inhibitor.

THAT explains it! I used to be the unstoppable girl, and now I'm a one-(gluten-free)beer queen. Now I have an excuse, yay!
  22. Oh, there's certainly been a great deal of discussion regarding it, I just don't think there are too many experts on the board. There's a few people who know a bunch and then a lot of people who know a little (it would seem to me).
  23. Diana, I've just noticed that none of us actually answered your question. This might not be the best place for info about candida diets or how long to stay on them, although a number of people on the board are familiar with them from personal experience. I would try googling candida and see what you get, compare the different website info. I think it's...
  24. Oh, ok, so like Rya said, not that common. I am no longer confuzzled.
  25. wow! that sounds really impressive, I'd try it with peanut butter ice cream.. mmmmmmm
