    ARCHIVED Costco

    Yikes. That's a little wacky.
  2. Isn't that stuff great? I like it too. I don't usually wear makeup, but I need good stuff for the rare occasion when I do, so I got some of their stuff and I love it. I wish they made mascara. But if you're feeling the pocketbook pinch for shampoos, the Ecover dish soap idea might work for you, because its so much cheaper than shampoo. It's expensive for...
  3. Hey, when I get bad glutened, it lasts for a month. Don't put any limits on yourself for when you think you're 'supposed' to feel better by. Just pamper yourself for now with mint tea and gentle foods. If your poo continues to be funkified colors, I would consider that there was some other kind of food contamination, as in food-borne illness, and don't allow...
  4. Oh my god I do that too! I can perfectly remember almost every taste, it's helpful when you're trying to recreate something. And Julie (I'm Julie too, by the way) the Whole Foods gluten-free Bakehouse cookies are really the best gluten-free cookie I've had yet, including my homemade. Way more satisfying to me than a candy bar, and less sugar. And cheaper...
  5. Not sure why nobody else responded, but holy crap those look really freaking yummy.
  6. I'd guess you could use potato, arrowroot, or corn starch for a tapioca sub.
  7. I take (peeled) apples and boil them in some water, and once they're applsauce-y but still a bit chunky, I add enough water to equal the amount you would use for your serving of quinoa, and cook the quinoa in that. Doesn't need any sweetener, tastes delicious.
  8. Really? I've only tried the Ener-g brown rice loaf and it was disgusting. Makes a nice stuffing, though, strangely enough....
  9. Um , there's no flour in your ingredient list? Don't mean to nit pick, but I'd figure that part would be important......
  10. Tomato pudding?
  11. The texture is definitely a killjoy for some, I've never had Chebe not be chewy. but I don't really mind. you might find it only works for you in pizza or calzone format, the edge gets crispy and the insides aren't as tough because of the contact with the wet ingredients.
  12. I would guess that throwing a crapload of digestive enzyme into a system that isn't really digesting anything would throw it off a little. Maybe, if you're interested in at least trying, you could just buy a papaya and juice it? Fresh is always better than bottled, and you could just try a little at a time. You seem to be tolerating sugary drinks fine, so...
  13. I use Ecover dish soap for shampoo, and Nature's gate conditioner. I'm cheap. But it works really good! My hair is so manageable now. And shiny. But I have lots of fine, light, long, fluffy hair. Might not work for different types of hair.
  14. It's official, they're yummy! Don't use the cheese version, I used the all-purpose with no cheese. I think the cheese dough would taste wierd. But You definitely have to use enough sloppy joe sauce, I didn't use enough sauce and I couldn't taste it as much as I wanted. But still yummy! Don't do like my boyfriend did and eat the edges of the crust first though...
  15. I don't think you'll make it in time, I live in CT. Sorry! My boyfriend won't be leaving any leftovers anyway. He'd eat cardboard, I swear.
  16. I'm not really sure what to suggest then, I've always followed the directions and everything's been lovely.
  17. I definitely will let you know. Good thing hunt's Manwich is gluten free. I've already done calzones with Chebe and they're fabulous, I'm just not quite so sure the sloppy joe flavor will translate well. But I don't care at this point, I haven't had a sloppy joe in three years. And I certainly haven't found any nice, soft, moist gluten free bread products...
  18. I agree, soy and bean flours make certain things gross, I only use bean flour in savory baking and never soy. Arrowroot starch would be a good, tasteless baking sub. I personally enjoy the mild flavor tapioca starch gives food.
  19. I'm thinking I'm gonna try making sloppy joe calzones out of Chebe original mix tonight. Anyone else ever try that? Think it'll be good or just gross? I'm just looking for feedback. Thanks guys!
  20. hipretty, I've actually had number of successes with the GFP line of products. Are you maybe at a strange altitude?
  21. Yeah, you'd figure that anything that affected your kidney function that much would be fairly easily detected.
  22. Bravie- if your family isn't interested in helping keep you healthy, why would they want you to continue living there 'inconveniencing' them? Habsfan- Can you put a lock on your cabinet? A padlock is pretty easy to install.
  23. Is this the kind of guy that still plays his video games instead of helping around the house? Gets mad and yells and throws stuff when he's upset instead of actually talking? Still complains about stuff to his mother? I think at some point you may just get so frustrated that you finally tell him he can either behave properly with you or behave badly without...
  24. To answer your question, as far as I know, whenever there is any kind of malignant (growing) cancer in the system, your blood tests will come back with some abnormalities. Leukemia is really quite easy to detect, my father's system only got so degraded because he was too stubborn to go to the doctor, insisting it was the flu or something. By the time they...
  25. I found rice papers at my Whole Foods. I almost bought it but the package wasn't very reassuring as to whether it was gluten free. Has anyone ever had a problem with these asian rice products that come from Thailand and stuff?
