  1. Oh, sure, we run off and get potato flour all over our kitchens, and you're not even gonna use it!
  2. I been SOOOOPER busy. I had to work a looooooong tough day yesterday, then I went out with my boyfriend and his buddies (I actually had a drink! Woohoo!) and we didn't get to bed til 4am. So not me. We woke up at 11 and ate and went to a local apple festival, it was really nice and had lots of vendors and I got a really pretty cotton/silk scarf. The thing...
  3. There's always teleconferencing. I would suggest you try and stick with one therapist, it would be too hard to explain everything all over again to new ones. This is an awesome thread, and I'm really glad everyone's been so open about their love lives. Our society's come a long way, but I know a number of people still have a hard time being open about...
  4. Wouldn't most people consider a christeneing a private, family thing? I dunno, I'm not in any of those religions, just guessing. Baby showers are friends & family, not as private, much more social.
  5. Hey, if I want validation, I won't hint around. I WANT THE RECIPE, HELLOO!!!!!!! Those are the best looking cookies I've ever seen!
  6. So, uh, out of curiosity, whatcha doin?
  7. It is simply too easy to get things that are on your hair and skin in your mouth. Have you ever seen the test where they dye someone's hands with dye that only shows up in blacklight, and then they go through their day, and then they get lit up by the blacklight and it's all over them, especially their noses and mouths? People touch themselves CONSTANTLY...
  8. Do you mean fruit cake?
  9. I try to convert all my recipes to use honey. I posted banana bread on here that only used honey (& choc chips if desired!) to sweeten. Over-ripe bananas are very sweet to start with though.
  10. I just went to play with my potato starch & flour and these were my observations. Potato starch acts like the other starches (which are indistinguishable to me in appearance and behavior) except that it doesn't puff into the air quite as readily. No smell unless you DO puff it into your nose by accident! (sneeze) I usually don't pour starches...
  11. I've managed to talk myself into getting 'scared' and 'nauseous' whenever I smell gluten food. I'm excellent at playing headgames with myself though. Juliem, thanks for explaining that recipe, I looked again and I get it now. Yum!
  12. I use Whole Foods BAkehouse for pizza, or Chebe, and Chebe cheese mix for calzones. You just gotta be careful rolling out the dough and make extra sure there's no holes!
  13. Speaking of which....... (hint, hint)
  14. Nah, I think she'd be a good conversationalist. That's not what I want Brad for though.....
  15. Fruit & veggies are naturally gluten free! So's meat cooked in a clean pan. There's almost always SOMETHING you can eat. I long ago decided to simply go without if I couldn't be sure, I've had some hungry days, but it's better than being miserable for a month (for me).
  16. That's it! Your secret's out!!!!!
  17. Shampoo gets a lot of people. You were probably getting some in your mouth somehow. I had a shampoo I didn't know had wheat in it, kept getting the itchy rash all over. I never ingested it, or I would've gotten quite sick, but it sure made me itchy! That's the worst when it's your ears and you wear glasses..........
  18. I just meant I was reading it, and the directions went like this: Prepare sponge (I'm guessing that means dry cake part) do something else Add rest of sponge ingredients. Maybe I'm just retarded, but that didn't make any sense to me. I don't mind the math of converting it, the actual directions stumped me!
  19. Don't worry about clicking on the link, I think that may be the most confusing recipe I've ever seen. Do you think your diabetes is Celiac related? Just curious...
  20. I want Brad Pitt on my island.........
  21. I think I've done a good job of sublimating my desires. Using the example above, when I'm at work and someone toasts a bagel and I can smell it, I don't wish I had THAT bagel. I wish I was at home where I could toast MY gluten-free bagel. I don't want THAT gluteny piece of cake, I want to bring my OWN gluten-free piece of cake, with my favorite marshmallow...
  22. That looks AWESOME!
  23. I SOWWY! I guess once in a while is ok........
