  1. Check the 'Parents of' section of the forum, there's probably someone in there!
  2. Try maple syrup, the real stuff. FAR healthier for you than corn syrup.... Please try? How come you can't have honey anymore?
  3. Well it TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH!!!!! Mmmmm......
  4. I know... That caramel topping stuff is gonna kill me.....
  5. For the actual pie recipe, I would 1/4 cup sorghum and 1/4 cup rice flour. Sorghum tastes the closest to wheat, in my opinion, and will help prevent the mealiness rice flour can have. Maybe add a tablespoon of potato FLOUR to that. And that 1/2 tsp xanthan gum someone mentioned. Great, now I have to make this for Thanksgiving...... Also, I recommend letting...
  6. Can't the airline attendants do something about that?
  7. Idunno, try Googling 'gas medicine'.
  8. Hear, hear! A buddy at work keeps trying to offer to make me muffins. I'm like, just stop. And the lady behind the counter is a whackjob, and don't ever take food from her again. I actually don't take anything for granted unless it's my boyfriend handing it to me. Even my mum has screwed up once or twice.
  9. There is that..... He's a sweetie! (Or just scared of desperate single women at weddings!)
  10. From what I understand, canola is very high in omega-6 fatty acids. This is part of what is contributing to the imbalance in a lot of people's diets. Your omega 6 to omega 3 ratio should be 1:1. Most people's is WAY out of proportion, with omega 6 FAR outnumbering their omega 3's. This is why I don't use it. I cook in butter or olive oil, that's it. I can...
  11. Lisa, I asked about honey because I have a good bit of dessert-type stuff that I use only honey to sweeten, that you may enjoy, since you can't have sugar or fruit.
  12. Mmmm, good call.
  13. Doesn't that seem a little wierd to you? How can food be calorie free? And what in heck is glucomannin? And where does it come from?
  14. You're awesome.
  15. And also that symptoms are not an accurate barometer of damage being done.
  16. I hope that lady went to jail or at least got in trouble.
  17. Check out the blog from 'Gluten free by The Bay'. He's got a bread section that you can sub sorghum for rice flour in any of them.
  18. I guess all those recipes don't qualify me as a baker.... *sniff.......
  19. Two things. One: you're not actually gluten free yet. Things will change once you are actually gluten free, and you MAY notice once you do that an accidental glutening will be very unpleasant. Two: In the time since I've gone gluten free, my reactions got progressivley worse, then progressively better. Meaning they are much less evere now than they...
  20. No, about 75, a bit humid, not too humid. Rain twice a week, for a few hours, and every morning before the sun comes up for 1/2 an hour for the gluten free crops! And a dune buggy course.
  21. And a bit of snide satisfaction when you know your boyfriend's going to have to answer when people ask where you are. 'Oh, she wasn't invited.'
  22. This woman is trying to kill me. Could you come up with something made with honey? My tummy doesn't like all that sugar and your recipes are the best! Did you see my banana bread? Mmmmm.....
