  1. Were you gluten free during the test? Going gluten free before testing can result in false negative test results. Maybe your test were false negative? If the diet makes you feel better, then you may have celiac disease, a gluten sensitivity or a gluten intolerance.
  2. This website says it is, under vitamins and minerals. Open Original Shared Link You may want to contact them to make sure.
  3. Wheat in cat litter! Now that's taking it too far.
  4. Thanks so much! I may look into buying some online if I can't find any here. I believe that I am intolerant to casein. I used to take the maximum amount of lactaid pills plus extra when I ate dairy and I still got sick. I've found a few casein free cheeses at my local grocery store and I will look into them to see if they are gluten free. I'll let you...
  5. I just found out that someone on the board contacted Vasoline and they said that all their lotions are gluten free.
  6. Wow, thanks for letting us know. Why do people need to put flour on everything. Oh look here is a banana! I might as well dust it in flour because I can!
  7. I'm sure rice milk will taste fine in the recipe. Where do you get it? I've been looking for some and the only brand I can find has gluten in it. Surprisingly, I can make and eat that meal in about 20 minutes! Another thing that you could do is make extra food at dinner and save the leftovers for breakfast in the morning. This would be quick and easy and...
  8. Today I had a blueberry smoothie, rice crisps, a salad, orange juice, and tuna tacos. I made up my own recipe for tuna tacos the other day and I was quite impressed. Here it is! 2-3 tablespoons olive oil 1 yellow or sweet onion, diced 3-4 garlic cloves, diced 4-5 stalks of celery, diced 4-5 green onions, diced (optional) 1-2 tomatoes, diced (optional...
  9. Yay! I saw those on their website, they look delicious!
  10. Welcome Your symptoms sound very typical of celiac disease. Some of your symptoms are similar to mine. When I eat gluten, I can get extreme fatigue, brain fog, mild-severe stomach pain, mild insomnia, irritability, anxiety, heart paliptations, chicken pox like spots on my skin, and various GI problems (eg. bloating, gas, diarrhea) My advice...
  11. Yeah, you have to keep work places separate and have separate condiment jars. I suggest buying meats, vegetables, plain rice, fruits, ect in Germany and I agree with Aziah that maybe you could purchase gluten-free foods online until you learn some German. Here are some more websites: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared...
  12. Before I started fasting for the biopsy, I had a very big pasta dish at a restaurant called East Side Mario's. That is the last gluten meal that I remember.
  13. Thanks I love the smoothie and the stuffing, two of my favorite recipes! You may have to modify the ingredients in the smoothie to suit your taste and texture. I like mine sweet, so I sometimes add extra honey!
  14. Yes, the extreme hunger eventually went away. I still get hungrey quickly, but not near as bad as before. I find that some things fill me up more than others. For breakfast, I find that drinking blueberry smoothies in addition to my breakfast really fills me up until lunch. You should give it a try! Here is an example of a breakfast that would hold me over...
  15. When you were eating gluten, your intestines probably would have been damaged and your body would have been lacking vitamins and minerals. Once you went gluten free, your intestines would have started to heal, which may have resulted in extreme hunger since your body could absorb properly again. Before going gluten free, most celiacs are malnourished and...
  16. I actually heard that from you
  17. Before I was diagnosed, I was experiencing hair loss. I would have liitle chunks of hair fall out in the shower. Hair loss occurs in people with celiac disease because the intestines cannot absorb the vitamins and minerals that keep hair healthy. Gluten damages the intestines so that we cannot absob nutrients. Once you go 100% gluten free, the hair loss will...
  18. I don't seem to tolerate gluten free food that shared the same lines as gluten food. Sometimes, I can't even tolerate gluten free food produced in a facility with wheat. I'm not really sure why some people react to these foods and others don't. It's a question that I have and I haven't figured out an answer.
  19. I've heard three slices of bread (or equivalent) every day for three months.
  20. I drink Tropicana. Look for the #48 on the code number at the top of the carton, those ones are gluten free.
  21. Sterk's breads Tinkyada Kinnikinnick breads Thai Kitchen Pad Thai Meal Kit Rice Crisps (there is one flavour that isn't casein free) So Good Soy milk amd ice cream Imagine Butternut Squash soup

  23. I eat Rice Crisps and I think they are very tasty
  24. I still haven't been able to find a gluten free worcestershire sauce where I live in Canada, so I got a friend to pick me up some Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce in the US. He said that every store he went to in the US had malt vinegar listed on the ingredient list on the Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce bottle Did the US change their ingredient...
